This game almost got a scathing review and frankly, it still might deserve a scathing review lol. I have 1.5 hours on this game: .5 of that was spent giving up on my first attempt at this game. The next HOUR was like my third attempt. For a liminal game: whilst a bit more spooky than i prefer (it is a backrooms game with no monsters keep in mind) this game has visuals that make the game feel really good as a liminal game, It also feels like i watched the same tutorial by unrealitybytes on how to make a backrooms level . The first levels design feels liminal in some of the same ways that Kane Pixels original series on the backrooms felt. And the later levels are really good liminal levels almost comparable to a liminalcore or pools. the usage of an occassional skylight showing you parts of the level youll never reach is amazing. UNFORTUNATELY the first level is a maze where you need to find a key to unlock the door. 50 minutes i spent in the same level and never found it. I dont think i found it on the successful attempt and after enough time the door just unlocked itself. The first level overstays its welcome so hard that it can ruin the experience. But if you can get past that level? the rest of the game is a really good liminal game. This person is also making a PROJECT LIMINE on itch and on steam! im hoping to see improvements and cooler stuff from this dev in the future.
