Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.86/day in the week to Sep 11 → 14.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Leave the noise of the world behind and step into the quiet, rhythmic life of a woodsman. A Game About Chopping Trees is a meditative experience designed for players who find peace in simple, satisfying tasks, all wrapped in a calm and relaxing atmosphere with no timers, no pressure, and no stress. At its core, this is a game about the pure satisfaction of chopping trees.
When it's time to move on to a new stretch of woodland, hop aboard your trusty handcar. Pump the levers and glide along the rails through serene, peaceful landscapes. The journey between forests is just as relaxing as the work itself. Simple. Satisfying. Entirely at your own pace.
Enjoy the satisfying crack of timber as towering trees split and fall beneath your steady hand. As you make your way through the forest, invest your earnings to improve your chopping skills with upgrades such as a sharper ax, a stronger swing, and more efficient techniques that make every session feel even more rewarding.
The forest is a living cycle, and you can help it thrive. After clearing an area, take a moment to give back by planting new saplings in the spaces you've created. Watch your efforts take root as tiny sprouts gradually grow into towering trees once again. This gentle cycle of reforestation keeps the woodland lush and vibrant, allowing you to shape and nurture your own ever-changing forest.

Reviews

Pros first: All the game play elements are great! Everything seems smooth. The graphics are SHOCKINGLY beautiful for such a simple game. Cons: I finished this in one day, and I don't really feel any urge to keep playing. I like chopping wood in video games because usually I'm working towards something or building something. With a lack of goal, the wood chopping isn't as mentally satisfying. I wish there were more goals in place other than "chop down every tree". Or if I could build something with the logs I'm chopping. Also the little things you can do, like setting off the canons and such, don't... really feel necessary at all. It's just a bit of flavor, they don't relate to the game in any way. We spent our money fixing every bee hive for... nothing. Complete silence. I thought "ohhh maybe the bee hives will make money for us?" Nope. Nada. If I could refund the game I would. I was excited at the prospect and enjoyed it for a few hrs but now I don't feel like there's any value left.
I got 3 hours of chopping trees out of this before I beat it. Deforestation is kind of distressing to me, so I don't know if I could have played it any longer, anyway.
Nice and chill.
Nice and Cozy
This game is even more of a nothing-burger than the original game about digging a hole. The game had a bunch of bugs and glitches that made the multiplayer experience not fun and barely held together. there was a bunch of missing features and quality of life upgrades that made this game feel unnecessarily dragged out to make it last over the 2 hour mark to try and stop refunds from getting approved as easily. Despite enjoying friendslop, I still had no fun with this game. If the game was cheaper it might be worth it to somebody, *maybe*
