About

Welcome to Amsterdam. It’s 1988 and things couldn’t be worse. Amsterdam is a city awash in illicit drugs, sex trade, and organized crime. Someone turns up dead every day, usually in the infamous Red Light District, where every vice is for sale. This night is different: The dead body is not just another unidentified stiff doomed to obscurity. He’s a disgraced cop’s last ticket back onto the force.
A Death in the Red Light is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed puzzle game of the same name, set in historic Amsterdam at its lowest point. The decaying city seems doomed, with landmarks blighted by junkies, criminals, and seemingly unceasing civil strife. The urban rot seems all consuming - can you resist it and solve the case?
Live the life of a hard-boiled police detective investigating a true crime Amsterdam mystery, connecting the dots to solve a gruesome murder - all inspired by a real-life case! Use logic, deduction, and the resources of the Dutch police to solve the case.
Follow a non-linear storyline that takes you across the Amsterdam of 1988, a city torn apart by rampant heroin addiction, brutal organized crime, and widespread social unrest.
Explore the infamous Red Light District, from the picturesque canals to the seediest streets, including Zeedijk, the Heroin Alley, where regular cops don’t go without backup. You might not have another choice.
Meet the people of Amsterdam, from the underclasses desperate for a reprieve, through the predatory mob growing rich on their misery, to the police officers and social workers desperately trying to keep the city from exploding.

Cute game. A friend told me about it and so far I'm having fun. The graphics are beautiful, and I feel like a cop in an old movie.
I'm having so much fun with this game! I like Mystery City's offline games so much that I signed up for Steam in order to play this. It's got a fun noir feel while you're solving logic puzzles in Amsterdam. Must go back to playing now...
Always liked detective stories and this one hooked me right from the start. The mystery is intriguing and interesting, without being boring and repetitive. Would definitely recommend to all lovers of detective or mystery stories.
So far so good! I love little puzzle games and I've been enjoying this one a lot. The theme and graphics is really cool. As an Amsterdammer it is extra fun to play in a different era of the city, and am enjoying the little references for the insiders :). Would recommend! Very fun.
Very short but pretty fun escape room detective game. there are alot of different kinds of puzzles so it doesnt become stale, the puzzles aren't that difficult so for beginners with puzzle games a good choice. The price for this game is sadly way to high though, if i didnt get this as a gift i wouldn't have bought it without a very high discount.
Freakin' love this one! The puzzles are a blast. I did some on my own, then my girlfriend joined and we tackled some more together. The whole noir style, the Amsterdam setting, the puzzle art direction - seriously pulled me in and I didn't realize how much time had gone by. Well done, Mystery City Games. More please!
Fun idea for a game, but experiencing a lot of bugs in a short time. First I got locked in Act II because there was nothing to do according to the game, and now I'm locked in the hotel room because there's no more evidence popping up... Shame... There's also an annoying thing happening where the game thinks you're double clicking, causing you to have extra "mistakes" that get your rating down... Best to get this at a sale due to the short nature of the game and the bugs.
Not enough games like this! Fun, challenging puzzle game wrapped in a murder mystery and a great setting, with enough intrigue to keep you guessing! Having a great time with it and can't wait to see more
Clever puzzle game with various different types of puzzles. Excellent sense of detail and playful humour. I like that it is tied to real locations which adds a lot of depth and story given its not completely fictional. Good brain teaser and fun play through.
