A Case of Fraud

I really enjoyed this, particularly the first half. It was fairly easy compared to something like Roottrees are Dead and would have loved if there were more employees to figure out. That being said, the investigation part after you got all the people identified was lacking. Yes, you can GUESS based off of things you've read but there's no definite clue you can point to for a few of the things they reasoned. It was frustrating after I spent a lot of time searching for the one key detail I missed that... it didn't exist. Overall I really enjoyed the first part, which took probably 1-1.5 hours. I'd definitely recommend this if it went on sale and I'd like to try out their next game if/when it comes out.

I don't know what to think of this game. Taken in isolation it's a fun little puzzle game in the TRaD style (The Roottrees are Dead) that will take you a few hours to finish. Sounds great! The confusing part is that when I said "in the TRaD style" what I actually meant is that it's exactly the same game, with the exact same mechanics, and even the same music! I actually had to go verify that it wasn't the same dev. I love TRaD so I'm not necessarily complaining, but I would have liked to see some innovation. A timeline tool was sorely lacking from TRaD and would have been a great addition here for example. In any case if you liked TRaD (or the Obra Dinn style games in general), you will like this game!

This is a good Roottrees-like game. It gives most of the clues as documents and doesn't have complex systems like search. This is a simpler approach for a short & sweet game. Although I went through all the evidence multiple times, I could finish the game in around 3 hours. I really enjoyed solving the puzzles.

Incredible game! Really well written, worth your time. It will scratch your Golden Idol/Roottrees itch and the clues/writing are top notch.

This was genuinely some of the most fun I have had with a game in so long! The story was so interesting and I really loved how you could take your time reading through all of the evidence! I felt so good when I was noticing and figuring out clues and puzzles! I took notes on every little thing because you never know what could be important later (you'd be surprised!) It was so satisfying finding the names and pictures for each person (and I LOVED the inclusion of the really cute pets!) I am so excited to see what more games this developer publishes, highly recommend!
