88 Heroes

The framing device of the villain hammering away at the keys at the bottom of the screen made this a standout title when I first saw it at MCM Expo back in 2017, and it can be enjoyable to give another run a go. But as far as "quirky platformers with a varied cast of wacky characters that the player is forced to use at random" go, this one goes a bit too far on the quirkiness aspect, with some of them toeing way too close to the line between "you have to overcome this limitation" and "makes certain parts of the game literally unplayable". Not a bad option if that's what you're after, but if you want this style of gameplay done better, stick with [i]Broforce[/i].

i absolutely love this game. the premise of having 88 heroes, 88 levels, 88 seconds per level and 88 minutes in total to finish the game is brilliant. at first you may think this is really hard to do. but keep at it. i can now do the whole game with atleast 20 or 30 minutes spare at the end. its 1 of my favourite games to just pick up and play, i turn the sound off. put on headphones and spotify. and thats my prefered method to play this game. definately worth it

This game is awesome! The characters are unique and funny. Their abilities are diverse... some can even cause you to cheat and circumvent the level in different ways. While all the achievements are comically centered around the number 8--like die 8 times, 88 times, etc.--multiple playthroughs will be required. This is my only gripe about the game. I do not want to attempt 88 rooms to see if I can make it with 8 heroes left, ultimately fail, and then have to start that attempt all the way from the beginning. Besides this obstacle towards 100%ing the game, this game rocks! Laser Kittie is my spirit animal!

I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, it's endlessly inventive, funny, and with great gaming references both new and old. On the other hand, the actual game isn't great. The controls are not as smooth as I'd like, and some of the heroes are downright annoying to use. I'm going to give it a thumbs up because I applaud what the devs are doing, but honestly don't buy it unless you just want a bit of a chuckle cycling through the different heroes...

Qui veut un jeu décalé, sans prise de tête et avec un brin de challenge sous un aspect "simple" mais efficace? .... Moi , moi je veux bien...!!! Et bien le voici ! Ce 88 Heroes m'a paru très curieux et finalement j'ai adhéré au délire! La seule chose qu'il me reste peut-être à faire ce serait d'essayer une partie avec des potes et voir si l'effet est aussi contagieux qu'un Ultimate chicken Horse !!!!! Je dirai en promo ou à petit prix selon moi et les yeux fermés si vous êtes pas trop exigeant en terme de mécanique de jeu mais prêt pour un moment de "petit(s)"délire(s)!
