Good little platform game where you can jump only (no shooting). Love the ZX feeling (with references of course)! Good music, smooth gfx (window only ATM), nice level design. Starts easy but gets harder and harder, good time waster. DPAD and arcade joysticks supported like my Hori Fighting Stick Mini. Inspired by Monty Mole, Manic Miner etc. you have infinite continues here though.
Nice Retro inspired game which takes me back to my old ZX Spectrum and C64 days! This is a very pleasant and fun gaming experience which is a joy to play. It reminds me very much of many old games such as Manic Miner, Bugaboo the Flea, Bruce Lee and many many more. Whilst it probably doesn't present a challenge for the majority of people it is certainly worth buying for a trip down memory lane for older gamers, or a kind of gaming history lesson for younger people. I would love to see more from this developer and maybe some more levels for this little gem. In good old fashioned gaming review style... 5 thumbs up out of 5!
This is a pretty awesome old school game & the dev is very responsive!
A rather pleasant platformer that does hark back to how these games were made back in the 8-bit era. For the price, it offers a nostalgic experience and a not overly difficult challenge. One to show the kids how games used to be minus the perma-deaths. A slight niggle on this release version is with the jumping through soft platforms - it often results in an unwanted double jump. It's a small thing, but the game would be all the better if rectified.
Just have to be the obligatory curmudgeon complaining that this isn't actually a Metroidvania as the tags would have suggested, it's 25 independent levels that can be played in any order and no additional abilities are gained at any point. You don't even get a gun. That's just what it is, and it's not a detriment. Though I was slightly mis-sold on what this was I enjoyed the old-school style level design where you might be going up, down, left or right and didn't have a neatly placed trail of coins to unsubtly hint your intended direction. Each level is relatively brief, probably 5 minutes each so you won't feel to aggro'd if you travel in the wrong direction, even a quick intentional death will warp you right back to the central starting point, a surprising benefit. Find the end point, find the key, create a mental map, clean up and leave. It was a loop I enjoyed. A tad disappointed the 'Temples' weren't true levels, more interactive cutscenes where you walk into a building to collect a reward. The game play is simple, but effective. There's only one jump height no matter how long you hold the button down for, which slows the pace down a tad, but it's probably how it was back in the day. Most enemies just move back and forth on their pre-set cycles, though some can pick up speed or start hurling acid drops in your direction once you get closer. I saw one other review complaining about the unintentional double jumps when jumping up through soft platforms (A by-product of holding the jump button down) and I honestly would have preferred if this was truly a second jump with the full height to get up onto the next platforms. As it currently is the 'second jump' through soft platforms is about 99% of the height of a normal jump so it always feels like it *just* missed the next potential real platform and feels like a pace slower where there doesn't need to be one.
Notinha do random123: [_] - Perfeitamente daora, né?
Wee gem, the game won't close on Steam Deck, I had to hold power button down and switch off deck, then press again to restart, we need a fix for that, the game is fun.
Casual metroidvania-lite. In that category this game is excellent. Managed to stay fun while not having the ability to shoot or kill anything. To the developer and anyone who's beaten the game,
I really wanted to play that last level.
You know what I mean.
