It’s the year 197X…
A mysterious force calling itself the Cosmic Demon Empire suddenly launched an assault on Earth, commanding an army of colossal beast-shaped war machines known as the Space Beasts. Meanwhile, at a certain top-secret Space Robot Laboratory somewhere in the Far East, preparations had been made “just in case something like this ever happened”. Thus, the newly developed transforming and combining combat robot GEPPY-X was deployed into action.
Never before released outside of Japan, 70’s-Style Robot Anime GEPPY-X will now be available to play worldwide!
A love letter to Japanese mecha anime from the 70’s, this fast-paced 2D side-scrolling shooter has undergone a transformation of its own. Battle the Cosmic Demon Empire with quality of life improvements such as faster load times, rewind, save states, and more!

I watch planet chaser starlight excellent all day everyday all day everyday 10/10

A decent 90s shmup that makes up for some fairly muddy visual design and clunky controls with Classic Super Robot Love And Guts in spades. Being able to cycle through Geppy's 3 forms on the fly is fun and each one is engagingly distinct, though the game does suffer at times from low-contrast attacks and muddy hit/hurtboxes. Also I want a Girl Team Mode, you sexist cowards. Not an amazing shmup in its own right, but holds a lot of charm for anyone who enjoys both shmups and Super Robot Wars. 3/5 stars
This game makes me feel nostalgic about when I first played it at 8 years old. I played for 3 main routes for good old days, and I think that's enough for me. The extra mode is a bit too repetitive, reuse the same stage, and I didn't feel like continuing to play for me.
The vibes are immaculate.
Truly an anime game. It has 2 OPS and EDS + in-world ads in between the levels. The amount of love that went into this game even before its translation is amazing. More people should watch older anime so they can appreciate this game even more. Appreciate the game having limited lives at first and then giving you infinite lives upon repeated playthroughs.
