⡏⠐⢌⡙⠲⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⡤⠖⠛⣛⢳ ⠀⡇⠀⠀⠑⡄⠼⠗⠒⠒⠒⠒⠿⠁⢀⠔⠋⢀⠀⡇ ⠀⣧⠀⠠⠊⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠢⡀⠀⣾ ⠀⢹⣼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠰⣴⠇ ⠀⢠⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿ ⠀⢸⡇⠀⠀⠶⢦⡀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣠⡤⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿ ⠀⠤⢷⢒⣲⡄⠀⠀⣄⣄⡤⠈⠀⠀⣴⣒⢲⠯⠄ ⠀⠈⠉⠳⢦⣤⠖⠛⢲⠀⠀⠀⢀⣀⣤⠶⠋⠉ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡏⠀⢿⠋⠉⠉⠉⠉⠙⣦ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢷⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⢧ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⠆⠀⠀⡇⠀⢠⠀⠀⢸⣇ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡿⠀⠀⠀⡇⠀⣟⡀⠀⣸⣍⢳⡄ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠓⠒⠒⠺⣅⣴⠿⠥⣼⠗⣋⡼⠁ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠉⠉
I really enjoyed this game. It’s not too long, probably around 1–2 hours for most players, but the story makes it absolutely worth the time. While the character models can look stiff, the voice audio is sometimes uneven, and the mechanics are a bit basic, the environments and 2D art look great and capture a strong retro sci-fi style while having its own identity. The story isn’t action-packed, but it surprised me with some genuine emotional moments as the main character's journey touches on themes of grief and separation. The soundtrack and voice acting also stand out, adding a lot of heart to the experience. For a student production, this is really impressive. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys narrative-driven games with memorable characters in a retro-inspired sci-fi genre.

I was really interested in playing this game. but it is just way too slow. I have to click a dozen times to get the text to progress to the next screen. the into took forever. and then every interaction that had more than one text box dragged on forever. i do not have the patience to play a Loading/Buffer Simulator.
50 Minutes ’Til Impact really surprised me in the best way. The story doesn’t hand everything to you up front – it gives you just enough to stay curious, then keeps layering in clues and progression as you go. I’m currently stuck on the fourth puzzle (that code is giving me a headache 😅), but I’m still having a great time. Sometimes you just need to step back, clear your head, and dive in again. I’m also impressed with what’s coming out of John Paul the Great Catholic University in general. Shepherd of Light was great too, and now this game shows the same level of creativity and polish. Huge thanks to the team for putting out a free and genuinely enjoyable game. I happily highlighted it in a YouTube review and hope others do too, in the hope it brings more eyes to 50 Minutes ’Til Impact. Worth checking out if you enjoy a story-driven adventure with a puzzle challenge!
50 Minutes Til Impact is a side-scrolling linear adventure game that leans heavily into visual novel territory. It has some light puzzles—mostly of the deduce-the-code variety—and one sudoku-like segment. Otherwise, dialogue and items move the plot forward. My favorite character in 50 Minutes is the setting itself! The interior design, and the way it's presented, gives the space-train they are on a vibe! The graphics engine has a very cool effect going on, almost like cell-shading, that gives everything a distinctive animated look and feel. The well-thought-out lighting, and the unique way it's cast, really gives 50 Minutes a solid identity and sense of place. I found navigating around and exploring this environment quite enjoyable. Some of the main cast were enjoyable, too.. There is enough mystery to them, and to the plot, to be intriguing. I am rarely a fan of
time-loop
stories, however, as they do retread ground. 50 Minutes is no exception, but fares better than most! Personally, I would have preferred
"one less loop."
The music was surprisingly good. I am a fan of the main "action" theme—it has a tempo and mood that matches the setting and atmosphere perfectly. The voice acting that is present was also quite good, but—alas—not all lines are voice acted. It is a little jarring, and I thought my game was bugging out at first when lines were not delivered. So be it. Overall, 50 Minutes Til Impact is a solid entry into the genre. I think it's worth a try even just to chill-out aboard this train for a bit!
Very cool story, very cool characters, my favorite character was the bar bot. "I'm starting to think he only had a few lines." I also really liked the design of the train cars. This game is also a horror game: Clara sounds like shes speaking from another room so I turn up my volume... and then Killian's ugly face yells at me. 10/10 game.
Totally worth playing through. It's a good story and I like the art style.
Two criticism; some of the voice lines were missing which is not too bad but that horrible delay on "Continue..." button during voice lines were horrible. It is so bad that I won't play again in its current state, and it came to a point I almost quitted due to that, however, I am glad I stood until the game finished because the story is incredible. I totally recommend the game. I hope devs see this comment and fix that delay bug and make it a much better experience for people. One more minor detail to bring the attention; pretty Clara quickly turns to ugly Tyrone when she faces towards the camera in play mode. Artists need to work a bit better on detailing imo. But overall, I wish y'all great success in your careers and this was an amazing experience for me, phenomenal story-telling. Thank you.
My gambling addict friend said if I post a review and it gets 150 likes and 50 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer, some vodka and 1 kg of lemon So im just gonna leave this here. Мой друг-игроман сказал, что если я опубликую отзыв и он наберет 150 лайков и 50 наград, он купит мне ящик пива, немного водки и 1 кг лимона, так что я просто оставлю это здесь.
