3D Organon VR Anatomy 2018

Very good app if you need to learn about the human body. The app will be a lot better if it had the following: 1- Option to show all layers and peel away the unwanted layers while showing the full body. Many folks have powerful enough video cards for this. 2- Animations. 3- Full audio descriptions not just the name of body part.

Meh. Lots of good data, but lacking in presentation. Should be a way to create a larger human speciman to be able zoom in on body parts. At this price it should have animations to show how different parts interact.

I am a 5th year medical student and I can say for my surgery rotation this app helps me visualize the structures at their "natural size", which is something my mind did not register from studying Netter's Atlas of Anatomy. The human model is almost the same size as myself in VR and this aids me when I try to explain to myself the rationale of some surgical approaches.

A nice program to demo the vive for those who think it may only be good for games. Also a decent supplement if you are going through traditional anatomy instruction. Liked that components could be moved out of the way and faded and that there are plenty of presets so you don't have to start with a full body and dissect away to the area of interest. While the skeleton can be raised and lowered, would have liked to have the ability to rotate body across 3 axis to allow it to more closely resemble a traditional dissection layout. The ability to scale the view would also be nice. Final request would be to consider an option for photo-realistic texture maps in addition to the standard the faux computer colors. Half the challenge in anatomy is that many body parts look the same and this (as well as many anatomy texts) make it look much easier than it actually is to distinguish particular components. Bottom line - Good program. Does what it says, but controls seem a bit basic. Would be an easy recommendation at $10-$15 (similar to ipad 3-D anatomy apps), but seems a bit overpriced at the $25-$30

The app is at the moment severly lacking: my largest gripe is the lack of ability to turn different display layers (i.e. arterial system, venous system, GI system, lymphatic system, nervous system...) on and off. This is a standard feature in virtually all anatomy programs (Complete anatomy, VB Human Anatomy Atlas, etc). Additionally, the UI/control sheme is not great. It is only possible to move the body on the vertical axis, but not sufficiently to get a top down view (i.e. if you want to examine the cranium from above) unless you stand on a chair. This software has potential and with a few quality of life changes (the two most important listed in this review) it has genuine potential. However, until this is achieved it is seriously hampered as a tool for study, and I therefore cannot give a positive recommendation in good faith. Developers, feel free to contact me in regards to this if you need further explanation and intend/make any changes. I will update this review to reflect any such developments.

Zooming is impossible, making for example studying the eye utterly impossible. The scale function does not help at all. Moving the model is possible only by one part at a time, thus moving the parts can not cause anything else than a jumbled mess. Also examining inferior (lower/under/below) parts of the anatomy is a futile exercise in acrobatics. In addition to this, several parts of the model are scaled incorrectly. Severely. For example the strange badge that is supposed to represent the superficial female genitalia, including clitoris and inner labia, is approximately two centimeters in length. Refunded.

This is software is good as it allows you to learn alot of anatomic related things and I enjoyed it so far but there is big but: - The Devs added a scale function which is totally useless, instead of an 1,70 m Human you can scale it up to about 2,20 m it´s the most useless scaling implentation ever, and I mean how difficult could it be to change a number? - you can´t turn the model, so you have to walk around it, which is stupid. - A lot of people are annoyed that there are no animations...well the devs added these to BUT ONLY FOR THE ENTERPRISE ADDITION THAT YOU CANNOT BUY HERE AND THIS THING ALREADY COSTS 50€ !!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF In short, spare the money there are even free alternatives that do alot of stuff better then this. I would recommend this software if the price would be 5-10 € because features are locked behind another paywall, and the usecomfort sucks. If you want to study small organs then this is a disaster.

An interesting tool. It, for the most part, works well, enabling the user to walk around the body, stripping away, or removing, parts of the body to get a closer look at what lies underneath. However, it does not come with everything. When you begin to use it, you'll quickly find out that there are parts which are not included in this version. For the 'true' experience (containing all the features), you will have to enquire on their website and buy a different version. This alone makes me wish that I had not bought this version and I can not give it a positive rating due to how misleading this was (I thought that this version [not cheap for an interactive body atlas] was the full thing and do not see where it's mentioned that more inclusive versions exist). Requested a refund. However, If not for this, I do actually think that the tool shows promise and would certainly be helpful to gain an overview of basic human anatomy.
