An interesting point-and-click adventure. It's a bit buggy with Steam. I had to play on Steam Deck to get achievements to pop, and got stuck in one of the early conversations. I enjoyed the story and the world. It's surprisingly...horny in places. I like how there are multiple options for the story and ending. The voice acting was good and I liked the background art -- I was less sold on the 3D character models which look kinda bootleg Pixar.

A very interesting game for a couple of evenings with a great soundtrack and lore. An interesting story and puzzles. The only issue is getting achievements in the game, but other than that, it's great!

The tempo is greatly enhanced by the perspective-switching dynamic. You can switch to Christine as she makes her way through San Francisco's underground and beatnik scene if you're stuck on a challenge involving Joe trying to buy off a guard. Even by 2014 standards, the 3D character models superimposed over the beautiful static surroundings are extremely out of date. Character expressions are robotic, the movements are rigid, and the visual mismatch regularly pulls you out of the immersion of the plot.

Not a bad game. I really liked the characters. Lots of interesting dialogues. The voice acting was quite good. The game itself is generally normal, although sometimes there were some glitches and inconsistencies. A few times the the game froze, but luckily, I saved often. The plot was excellent. I'd say it's worth a try, so go for it if you like point-and-click games.
