When it comes to absurdly difficult platformers, this has seemed to fall under the radar over the years. Which is a shame, because this is a really fun (albeit infuriating) platformer that clearly had a lot of love put into it. The soundtrack, story, artwork, and even extra game modes make for a wonderful and varied experience! Please, if you like challenging platformers, check this out at least a little bit.
非常好玩 遗迹探索的题材也很喜欢
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! love it
Fun and challenging game.
Yen, playable, Yellow. Needs 21:9 for SteamOS so my Steam Deck OLED can see it all and SHAPR filter. Finished before on Xbox 360 and I like the new content.
Quick review: 3 ### Metric ### 1- Garbage. :( 2- Did not fulfill the purpose. 3 - Ok, fulfilled the purpose. 4 - A good game! 5 - Just play and be happy. :)
Has been sitting since forever in my steam library, I don't really dig platformers but this one has its charm. I was surprised at how much effort and thought went into the level design and mechanics. You can see that the dev (devs?) really cared. If you like hard and well thought out platformers - this game is for you. Also, the music absolutely slaps.
1001 Spikes is a tough as nails platformer that starts out as a bit unfair, but really is about as fair as they come. 1001 Spikes has dozens of levels, each being incredibly difficult, likely requiring dozens of attempts, if not more, and many of your early attempts will simply be discovering what all in the level is going to kill you. Most every level has two different things you are attemping to do, First and foremost you're trying to escape the level by reaching the door, but some doors require a key or a button to open them. If you want to survive longer (since you have limited lives) and if you want to get the true ending, you'll also need to locate and reach the golden skull in each level. Your moveset, at least with the first character you unlock, is to move left and right, fire out up to 3 knives in quick succession, do a 1 block jump, and do a 2 block jump. By the time you get past the tutorial levels, you will be intimately familiar with your moveset as every obstacle will require you to use each piece of your moveset perfectly. There is a single level in this game that requires a true pixel perfect jump to overcome a challenge, and many people find this insurmountable; however, you can see the pixels on screen, so with enough effort, you can line up exactly where you need to be every time and always succeed the jump. Luckily, the rest of the levels are more fogiving, but not as much as you might like. This is a HARD game. It will try your skills and patience and many people will likely be unable to complete the game simply because it demands too much and doesn't really give you any difficult settings. This game is only for people who love difficult platforming and overcoming challenges, anyone else isn't likely to enjoy this game. If you DO love challenges and tough as nails platforming, this game is immaculate. There is ZERO randomness in this game, so you'll never die to anything that isn't your fault, which is miles better than most "hard" platforming games.
