About
The Peabody Award winning 1000xRESIST is a thrilling sci-fi adventure. 1000 years in the future, humanity is all but extinguished and a disease spread by an alien occupation keeps the survivors underground. You are Watcher. You dutifully fulfil your purpose in service of the ALLMOTHER, until the day you learn a shocking secret that changes everything.

In the near future we learn we are not alone in the universe. A mysterious alien race of giant entities arrives. We call them the Occupants.
They are not hostile, but it doesn’t matter. Their arrival is a death sentence. Humanity is wiped out in a matter of months, succumbing to a disease the Occupants have brought to our planet.
There is one survivor, a teenage girl called Iris. Somehow she is immune.

1000 years later. Iris is not only immune but immortal. She has birthed a new society consisting exclusively of her own clones.
She calls them Sisters. They call her the ALLMOTHER.
Unlike the ALLMOTHER, the sisters are not immune. They must wear masks 24/7 to avoid breathing the diseased air even in the Orchard - an underground bunker where they live in constant fear of an Occupant attack.
The ALLMOTHER lives in her own compound on the front line of the war with the Occupants. All Sisters dream of one day being able to take the train and join her in the fight.

Within the Orchard, every sister has an assigned function, while six sisters have special roles to play…

Principal - Head of administration and oversight of the Orchard
Bang Bang Fire - Head of military
Knower - Head of knowledge preservation
Fixer - Head of engineering
Healer - Head of medical and cloning
And you - the new Watcher.
Your role is unique. You have the great privilege of reliving and interpreting the memories of the ALLMOTHER through a process known as Communion, made possible by Secretary, your floating AI companion.

As the game begins, you are excited to embark on your first Communion.
But all is not well.
Your closest sister, Fixer, comes to you with a dangerous revelation. You have been lied to. The ALLMOTHER is not what she claims to be.
Fixer’s claims rock the foundations of your world, throwing everything you know and believe into doubt.
After Fixer is executed for her treason, it falls to you to discover the truth.

Dive into the memories of the ALLMOTHER.
Explore pivotal moments in her life from high school days and the arrival of the Occupants to the creation of the Orchard and the birth of the first sisters.
Jump back and forth through moments in time within these memories to solve puzzles and access locked off areas and secrets.

In between Communions, explore the Orchard - a large underground hub area which houses you and your sisters, has many characters to speak to, and holds many things to uncover.
Find the truth and reclaim your legacy.

Experience perspective shifts both literal and metaphorical as the game blends between 3rd person adventure, visual novel and first person walking simulator while throwing twists, turns and revelations at you until you question everything you think you know.

One thing should be said upfront: 1000xRESIST does not explain itself when explanation would be convenient. It gives you grief, ritual, political theatre, family memory, and floating geometry, then trusts—or forces—you to assemble the world from fragments. 1000xRESIST is a story about memory, migration, inherited trauma, authoritarian mythmaking, and people repeatedly mistaking control for salvation. It is also deeply confusing, occasionally infuriating, and far too fond of making basic navigation feel like an archaeological dispute. It gives emotional understanding long before factual understanding. Iris is both victim and architect of enormous harm. Watcher is manipulated, condemned, preserved, and continually treated as a symbol instead of a person. Principal, ALLMOTHER, and the later factions all reproduce control while claiming necessity. The clone society gradually moves from roles toward names and personhood. The protagonist switch and Old Town section disrupt momentum. The fragmented chronology is thematically brilliant but sometimes mechanically obnoxious. The ending offers a cautious future beyond Iris’s mythology.
This game made me feel things
The progressive devs decided to make a game criticizing our #1 enemy. Not to say that China isn't deserving of criticism, but they obviously took an easy path. They would have taken a lot of flak to mention indigenous schools with buried children's corpses, or the war on terror (5 million people died). Did you know that US sanctions kill millions of people a year? Obviously drawing attention to our own war crimes would have been more difficult, but its something that we have some effect on and our tax money supports. Politically, this game is just COD but for progressives. As our countries' politicians push for an actual war with China, this is just feeding the fire.
Love a good generational trauma story
Rarely do I ever take the time to write a review, but I feel this game earned a few extra minutes of mine. The game is essentially a visual novel with some walking/gameplay elements mixed in, not usually the kind of game I enjoy. In this case, though, the story itself was incredibly captivating and presented so well. It didn't take long to hook me, and it kept me hooked right until the very end. I found myself constantly going back over the events in my head when I wasn't playing, mulling over what I'd learned and piecing it together. I was extremely invested in the story and got emotional quite a few times while playing. I was very satisfied with the conclusion, and really appreciate the save point right before it so you could experience all the different endings without too much hassle. The art style is quite interesting. Honestly, when I first loaded in, I thought the game might be a bit of a meme, like a lot of the indie horror games I've played in the past. That impression didn't last long. The game is genuinely beautiful, and the music did a great job complementing the visuals, creating a truly immersive atmosphere. My one issue was that I spent way too much time lost in the main hub area, a very minor complaint in the grand scheme of things. This game might be a 10/10, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
A game like no other. Sometimes a bit rough around the edges, but the narration gets more and more intense.
Gameplay? There's none... and im serious about it... yet, if you ask me to pick my top 5 games... this is probably in there. 10/10.
it's a little woke, but i can look past that. hekki allmo fine ♥♥♥♥. probably one of my all time favourites. excited for prove youre human!!!
