100 Underworld Cats

[H1]A good, creepy map but that lasts exactly one coffee sip[/H1] Another entry from 100 Cozy Games arrives, and yes, the playtime is still smaller than a dust particle. This time you’re searching a creepy abandoned underground city for 100 hidden felines. There’s only one level, so the whole thing wraps up in about 3 minutes. I actually had to let the timer sit for a bit just so I could publish all this. That said, the vibe is surprisingly nice. The eerie underground setting works well, and the OST stood out enough that I actually noticed it. Mechanically it’s the usual formula: simple point-and-click search with quick rechargeable hints that don’t affect achievements (though you really won’t need them). Achievements follow normal progression and, as tradition demands, there’s one for every single cat. Settings include brightness options, sound sliders and a save system if you somehow pause mid-hunt. Credit where it’s due: bugs that haunted earlier titles seem to have vanished here. No weird phantom second level this time, and nothing broke during my run. Now, the tiny elephant in the room: the runtime. 3 minutes. That’s the whole ride. The price is slightly lower than some earlier one-map releases from the same publisher, which is appreciated, but it’s still steep for something that ends before your brain fully starts relaxing. Achievement clutter also continues its unstoppable march with one trophy per cat. At least the bundle appeared at launch this time! A round of applause for that tiny miracle. If you go in knowing exactly what you’re buying and just want a quick atmospheric cat hunt, there’s a pleasant few minutes waiting underground. It is not a game where you need to overthink or solve complicated challenges; instead, you can simply enjoy searching for the hidden cats and decompress after a long day. Some cats are cleverly hidden, making the discovery process enjoyable, while the hint system is there to help whenever you cannot find one. The artwork and music fits together nicely and create a cozy atmosphere. Overall, it is a charming and calming game that offers a pleasant way to relax. The 100 Cozy Games devs constantly create quantity over quality with their games, especially for the price point so I can only recommend them as a last resort of the cat game genre, but here I am still playing. 3/10

Quick and beautiful hidden picture game. I had to keep it running so that I can review it. It is fairly cheap to buy.

I like the artwork and the music, but for the price you only get one scene when most of the games in the 100 Cats series have two puzzles. The cats were pretty easy to find, too. Took me less than five minutes to finish, and that's going slow and casual. I'll recommend it but only if you like other games by this dev and you get it on sale.

Como toda la colección de ésta gran serie de encontrar a los gatitos escondidos, repetiré lo que dije en otra reseña: mínimo alrededor de 30 minutos de sano entretenimiento por menos de lo que cuesta una taza de café. Lo recomiendo.
