100 School Cats

[H1]The school of achievement farming... again[/H1] Another day, another 100 Cozy Games hidden cat game with the exact same recurring issues. Sometimes these games manage to squeeze in just enough content to become a “maybe on a deep sale” recommendation, but not this one. I literally had to leave the game idle just to have enough time to write the review afterward. Full completion, no hints, 3 minutes. THREE. At this point, this is less a hidden cat game and more a Steam achievement speedrun. 😤 To be fair, the environment is colorful and busy enough to look decent, the zoom works great, and the hints recharge almost instantly without affecting achievements. You’ve also got the usual QoL settings: brightness, fullscreen, sound sliders, plus color and black & white modes. Achievements follow normal progression too, although this means getting spammed with 1 achievement / cat. Also, I was about to congratulate the devs because the cats were actually more recognizable this time around, and then the last few decided to turn back into mysterious tails, suspicious butt blobs, and random cat-shaped uncertainties. Better than some of the studio’s previous attempts, but still not exactly a feline masterclass. Overall, this is impossible to recommend unless your entire goal is farming achievements at lightning speed. Not enough content for collectors, not enough challenge for puzzle fans, and definitely not enough game for the price. It is not a game where you need to overthink or solve complicated challenges; instead, you can simply enjoy searching for the hidden cats and decompress after a long day. Some cats are cleverly hidden, making the discovery process enjoyable, while the hint system is there to help whenever you cannot find one. The artwork and music fits together nicely and create a cozy atmosphere. Overall, it is a charming and calming game that offers a pleasant way to relax.
