Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 52.71/day in the week to Sep 1 → 78.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
007: First Light
Hide another day Hot take incoming! I’ll preface this by saying I know I’m the outlier here. If you’re looking for a more positive take, there are plenty of glowing reviews on this site that will suit your tastes. For me, 007: First Light was my most anticipated release of the year, yet I walked away disappointed. I didn’t finish it, made it to Chapter 7 (out of 10) before dropping out. I suppose I was expecting more of an action‑adventure experience, but this game leans heavily into stealth. To be clear, the game has been a roaring success, 4 million copies sold is no small feat, and I’m glad the franchise will continue. But personally, I’m relieved Amazon wants to be more involved in the sequels. IO Interactive, in my view, could have done a much better job with this one. The story begins with Bond dispatched to investigate a rogue MI6 agent, 009, whose betrayal threatens to destabilize global security. What follows is a globe‑trotting chase through neon‑lit cities, shadowed fortresses, and the inevitable climactic showdown where espionage collides with personal vendetta. It is Bond stripped to his essentials: betrayal, gadgets, and the thin line between duty and conscience. The genre has been defined by the likes of Uncharted and Tomb Raider, games that marry cinematic spectacle with fluid traversal, but I found First Light to sit uneasily in this charecterisation. Bond’s world is already cinematic, but here the translation feels more mechanical than inspired. The game wants to be both a spy thriller and a sprawling adventure, but rarely achieves the seamlessness of its peers. Its ambition is clear: to fuse the Bond mythos with the grandiosity of a modern day action adventure game. At times, it succeeds. The stealth sequences, punctuated by gadget use, capture the fantasy of being 007 to a degree (it does unfortunately feel a bit too limited). My biggest gripe with the game is the pacing, there are long stretches where the game is simply dull and it has one of the longest most handy-holdy tutorials I've ever seen in a game. It takes nearly 2-3 hours to complete before you are actually given full control of the character. Exploration is often reduced to narrow corridors and scripted set pieces. The promise of freedom, of discovery, is undercut by invisible walls and predictable beats. Craftsmanship is competent but uninspired. The graphics are polished, environments detailed, but they lack the artistry that makes worlds memorable. I feel like I have seen all the assets in this game but in better games. The story gestures toward intrigue but leans heavily on familiar tropes. Systems and mechanics : cover shooting, stealth takedowns, gadget deployment, drive the moment‑to‑moment play, but they lack the fluidity and rhythm of the genre’s best. While fidelity is high in presentation, I found it terribly middling in execution. As a gamer I always like my reviews to pose the question of whether the game is worth the price of admission, and more importantly, the demand on your time? It's a YES and a NO (which is why my score is landing smack bang in the middle). For Bond devotees, there are moments of satisfaction, flashes of cinematic excitement that justify curiosity. For action‑adventure enthusiasts, the game may feel like a derivative experiment, competent but unremarkable. 007: First Light is neither a failure nor a triumph, it is a serviceable diversion, a Bond film translated into game form without the spark that makes either medium sing.
One word or phrase to sum up the experience
007: First Light is a stylish but sluggish Bond outing, cinematic in ambition yet middling in execution, leaving players with a polished but forgettable stealth adventure that ends up being very flat.
Performance/Bug related incidents
Game is very performance heavy but if you have the gear you should be able to get it to sing.
Similar to games
Unchartered, Tomb Raider, Hitman: World of Assassination Rating ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=869454819
Licensed to Thrill
After finishing the main story and getting all the achievements, I'm profoundly impressed, although I expected nothing less from the developers of the legendary Hitman series. I had my doubts regarding the necessity of creating an origin story for Bond. Prequels—to me, at least—always felt like an excuse to milk a much-beloved franchise when there are no worthwhile creative ideas left to pursue. And ohh boy, how glad I am that I was proven wrong in this case. Set in the modern day, First Light shows us how James turned from an SAS member into a 00 agent and does so immaculately. This James isn't an elegant, reserved, experienced older gentleman, but rather a reckless, rule-defying, and often childish amateur—as is to be expected from someone in his twenties. It's a refreshing take on his character, as we see him grow and mature as a person. What I adored the most are the bonds (no pun intended) he develops with his fellow 00 trainees and his mentor, Greenway. He quickly became my favorite character, serving as a father figure and role model for James later in the story. Without a doubt, it's also one of the best-looking games in recent years. I don't wish to get into spoiler territory, but some levels are truly breathtaking and make me want to boot up the game on a boring day just to walk around and chill. This is accompanied by remarkable audio design, nevertheless. I'm afraid I can't avoid mentioning the gunplay. While serviceable, it's more on the clunky side, which is expected, I presume, considering the Hitman games aren't exactly respected for their stellar gunplay. Melee is fluid and smooth, thankfully, on the other hand, and stealth is quite enjoyable thanks to the various gadgets you'll have at your disposal. These can also make the often stale shootouts feel refreshing. The story is more relevant than ever. I won't spoil anything, but it touches upon topics that are discussed nowadays and spark debates on a daily basis. This is something I deeply appreciated. Besides that, it's a classic espionage/action Bond story: betrayals, romance, jaw-dropping action sequences, and everything you'd expect from the legendary 007 franchise. One more criticism: it doesn't give you as much freedom as it promises. While there are multiple ways to reach certain areas in a few levels, don't expect entire sub-stories or interesting additions similar to those in the new Hitman trilogy. I'm not sure if this is a bad thing, as linear single-player games are rare nowadays, and I am glad to play something that isn't open-world recycled fetch-quest slop. Despite the aforementioned "issues," I'm giving this the maximum possible score. This is everything you'd want and expect from a James Bond game and more. IOI didn't disappoint, and I'm optimistic a sequel is on the way, and hopefully we'll get a prequel trilogy with games of the same quality.
Final Verdict: 10/10 - Essential Experience
Well done, 007. Until we meet again!

Aggressively mediocre. At its core it's an on-rails PlayStation game with pretty set pieces but bland gameplay. Huge step back gameplay-wise from Hitman. It's certainly pretty though, but there's not much of actual substance.
