Think fast! [h3][b][u]Overview[/u][/b][/h3] Someone has to take care of those zoo animals. That could be you! In Zoo Time, you and your friends are hired for the ultimate job: clean, feed, and make sure the balloon-easy-to-handle inhabitants have a wonderful time. Several difficult options can make things more chaotic if you think you are fast enough. [h3][b][u]Gameplay[/u][/b][/h3] You may play with a controller, but a keyboard is supported too. You start selecting what difficult is up to your skills. From easiest to hardest, tasks have no time limit to very little time upkeep, animals can be peaceful or make more disasters, and there can be less space in the level to maneuver faster against the clock. If the difficulty is higher, there will be an extra random task it might trigger as well. The everyday routine is simple to follow. It begins with bringing the animals out to their respective habitats, then the tasks start to flow. Serving the food correctly, washing over, exercises, and taking proper care are just many of the tasks that pop randomly through the level. If the timer runs out for a task, we simply get a lower score towards the end of the day. Tasks must follow common sense; an animal cannot eat their meals if they are outside their fence. By the end of the day, we have to bring all the animals back to the stables. Three balloons are the highest score for an honest work. [h3][b][u]Audio & Visuals[/u][/b][/h3] You can expect jazzy tones playing anywhere through the game. All animals have physics (plus they look very cute), even the workers hands that flail around like noodles. Visitors will surely remind you of another famous game; they are all dressed casually, walking through the level. The UI looks cozy, like it’s a party; even the random animal that floats next to the level menu is cute. When a level is finished, all the players can have a bit of fun with the props until it's time for the next level, which I found hilarious. [h3][b][u]Pros & Cons[/u][/b][/h3] [b]Pros[/b]  Family friendly.  Very cute animals.  Easy to play even on the highest difficulty. Zoo Time is a chaotic cute party game where you work as a zookeeper, tasked with caring for ten adorable, chubby animals—like ostriches, buffalo, rabbits, frogs, and hippos. You can play solo, but it’s even more fun and hilarious with co-op: team up with kids or friends for local play with up to 4 players, or host an online game via Steam Remote Play Together. Even if your friends don’t own the game, they can join as long as one person has it. I tested it on Steam Deck, and it works great—I recommend using a controller to play Zoo Time. [h3]Gameplay[/h3] The game features 40 stages total, with 4 difficulty levels: Baby Mode (cozy and easiest), Normal Mode, Hardcore, and Impossibru! (the most challenging). Early stages ease you into the gameplay as an introduction, but later ones get delightfully chaotic. New tasks come with helpful tutorial explanations. The gameplay loop is simple: race against the clock to complete as many tasks as possible and earn a high score. Initially, you’ll need to lead animals out to their respective enclosures. From there, tasks vary: serve them the correct food and drinks, take them to the bath or beauty salon, guide them to exercise on treadmills, give medicine to sick animals, or take them to perform. You’ll also need to revive flattened animals by pumping them back up! This game also offered some other hidden mechanics and bonus objectives for you to find out! In the final seconds before closing time, you must return all animals to the barn. Other responsibilities include fixing cages (otherwise, animals will escape from their enclosure and make a mess), cleaning up animal poops, and clearing trash left by tourists—all to avoid obstacles that slow you down during tasks. The game mixes things up with diverse terrain: pools you’ll need to run through, tourists wandering around (who slow you down), and aliens trying to snatch your animals—adding extra fun challenges. After each stage, all players can mess around with in-game props for some little fun. [h3]Visuals & Music[/h3] Zoo Time supports high quality Quad HD resolution, paired with playful jazz music that sets the mood throughout. The animals are chubby and adorable, and the zookeepers—with their chubby frames, long noodle-like arms—are just as cute. [h3]Summary[/h3] This game is an absolute delight if you’re smitten with caring for cute animals—seriously, their chubby little selves are impossibly adorable—and it’s a must-play if you live for the messy, chaotic joy of party games like Overcooked. Fun game to play both with your partner and with your kids. The little ones really like to look after the zoo animals.

Fun game with a lot of chaos and animal throwing. The flailing zookeper hands never gets old. Great for some fun with friend and family.

The game is cute and tough like a schoolgirl. You actually need a strategy here. It is not just walking around. Soda can is your biggest enemy!
