Crim's Humble Opinion Curator Zombie Serial Killer Incident is a decent enough indie clicking shooter. It has a very arcade and I may be pressed to say browser game feel. There are 50 stages that can be played in any order and there are 3 unlockable stages. There are five different characters that run across the screen in the levels. You can't just shoot whatever you feel like because there is a degree of puzzle mechanics to the shooting. There may be a zombie with a bucket on his head that you can't shoot so you have to rely on the explosion chain from another zombie kill. That's what this games high point is. The satisfaction of chaining things correctly. You have to be careful that your chain doesn't kill a damsel in distress or miss the rest of the chain you have to pull off in order to get the most points out of the level. It is a simple to understand but hard to master aspect that makes this game more like a puzzle. The price is a bit high for the content that is there in my opinion since the levels may take you less than two minutes or so each to clear. It is nice that you can pick any stage you want to if you get stuck on a level. The level select screen could use some tweaking though. You have to pan the screen to select the levels like you would in a moba game by going to the edge of the screen. It would be simpler if you could just scroll, use arrow keys, or have the levels in a block grid format for selection. It'd be nice to see achievements for incentive (aside from the three bonus stages) for completion but they aren't there.
Pros
+Decent Timekiller +Satisfying chain reactions +Interesting puzzle mechanics +Any stage select
Mix?/Con
~/- Level select screen needs work ~/- No achievements ~/- Price a bit high for content While it could be a bit more flushed out with a variety of zombies, weapons, and content; it is still a pretty decent time killer with nice puzzle chain shots. I would say go into this one with a degree of caution. Pick it up during a sale if you are feeling up to it after seeing video and screenshots and such. Rating: 5/10
很弱智的游戏,就是个傻等然后点击一下的游戏 最多最多也就个一刀游戏的质量
Feels like a strangely satisfying newgrounds game.
Zombie Serial Killer Incident, developed by Shindenken and published by PLAYISM, is a top-down action-puzzle game that combines fast-paced shooting with strategic planning in a uniquely darkly comedic setting. Released in 2018, the game places players in the midst of a sudden zombie outbreak in a quiet town, tasking them with eliminating hordes of undead using only mouse controls. Its blend of reflex-driven gameplay, puzzle-like mechanics, and quirky presentation sets it apart from more traditional zombie shooters, offering a fresh take on the genre for players who enjoy both action and strategy. The core gameplay revolves around the player controlling a young protagonist who must survive the chaotic zombie invasion. Armed with a shotgun, players click to shoot zombies, but success requires more than rapid clicking. Each type of zombie has distinct behaviors and effects, which encourage strategic thinking. For example, some zombies explode on death, creating chain reactions that can clear multiple enemies at once, while others throw weapons or move unpredictably, requiring players to carefully consider positioning and timing. This system transforms what might otherwise be a straightforward shooter into a tactical puzzle, rewarding foresight and planning as much as reflexes. Visually, Zombie Serial Killer Incident embraces a pixel art style that is both retro and expressive. The bright, colorful environments contrast with the darker, more sinister zombie designs, enhancing readability while maintaining a sense of tension and humor. Character and enemy animations are clear and exaggerated, making it easy for players to anticipate actions and plan responses. The audio complements this aesthetic with sharp, satisfying sound effects for each gunshot and explosion, as well as atmospheric cues that underscore the chaos of the zombie outbreak, further immersing players in the frantic gameplay. While the game’s mechanics are straightforward, the complexity emerges from the interaction between different zombie types and environmental elements. Players are encouraged to experiment with chain reactions and combo strategies to maximize efficiency, making each level a puzzle that can be approached in multiple ways. This depth of strategy, combined with the accessibility of a single-mouse control scheme, ensures the game is approachable for newcomers while offering enough nuance to engage more experienced players. Despite the limited amount of user feedback on Steam, Zombie Serial Killer Incident demonstrates a thoughtful design philosophy, balancing simplicity with layered mechanics. Its unique approach to zombie gameplay—focusing on tactical elimination and puzzle-like interactions rather than sheer action or gore—sets it apart in a crowded genre. The game’s humor, visual charm, and inventive mechanics make it a memorable experience for those seeking something different from standard zombie shooters. Overall, Zombie Serial Killer Incident is a cleverly designed action-puzzle hybrid that rewards strategy, experimentation, and quick thinking. Its mix of engaging gameplay, distinct zombie behaviors, and appealing pixel art create a compelling and unique experience that stands out in the indie gaming landscape. For players who enjoy tactical challenges, chain reaction mechanics, and a darkly comedic twist on the zombie apocalypse, this game offers a refreshing and satisfying adventure. Rating: 7/10
