honestly a super cool game that deserves more attention. really cool 'surfaced-based' magic system, fun fighting, and airships. you get to fly airships. YOU GET TO FLY AIRSHIPS AND FIGHT OTHER PEOPLE ON OTHER AIRSHIPS
You can be an otter in this game.
Phrieksho's review is total and utter nonsense. This game DOES NOT play anywhere "akin" to dark messiah might and magic, it plays like literally every other unity asset flip. Controls are floaty, combat is cheeks, the UI is worse than any Roblox RPG you could think of, etc, etc. the worst offenses this game has to offer: character movement isn't fleshed out, combat isnt fleshed out, the rpg mechanics and dialogue UI isn't even fleshed out, yet they felt the need to model and texture maps to build a game around all these near non existent mechanics. and by fleshed out, i mean there isn't muscle tissue. there isn't even bones. its actually impressive HOW little there exists in this game in terms of effort, content and design yet its 15$. Theres electricity and street lamps, theres swords and magic, you can play an otter for some reason? the theme is aimless and all over the place. runs like dawg - too. considering theres practically NOTHING in this game, idk how it could have performance issues. 1/10 a total mess of a game. this game should be 2.99.
This game has some great things going for it - interesting and distinct races, weapons and spells, interesting premise of a story, great and fun mobility via grapling hook, kicking, climbing and even a pilotable airship - and then throws it all away with crappy story, empty maps, uninteresting quests and boring, floaty combat and dissapointing ending. Its also pretty jank and something is very wrong with the contrast but i dont mind it at all. Its just unfinished and thats a shame.
Could be a fun game, but I can't get it to function (windows 11) seems buggy and play though is nearly impossible as it won't restore a save game or skips the first section and starts off at the airship.
Otters, airships and grappling hooks. What more could you want?
I think this is a fun RPG that feels like a love letter to some older classic games. We get some interesting lore that rolls out in a way that reminds me of Morrowind and Skyrim, the magic system feels a bit like Bioshock but you get to interact with it more and use a grappling hook to transverse. There are some legend of Zelda feels along with a calming Minecraft styled soundtrack. You can feel the level of TLC that was put into how the gameplay flows and unfolds as the story comes out. Definitely evokes some Mad Nostalgia for me and worth spending a few afternoons playing in my humble opinion. Criticisms? A Mini-Map would be helpful but its not necessary, Everything feels intuitively set up to point you in the right direction.
Fun indie game, played it in co-op and really enjoyed flying the airship and fighting enemies with my friends.
LOVE BEING AN OTTER FIGHTER!
