AI gen content, it has nothing of "classic" point'n'click adventure flavour to it, feeling souless and generic.
ai trash, as noted on the store page, don't bother. shame because the dev's other games aren't, only what could've been the most interesting one (though those also use some stock assets, which is what they're for). has separate volumes, windowed mode, an auto advance dialog setting, text display is instant, no annoying typewriter effect. there's a hotspot indicator, exits are very clearly marked, autosaves on exit and can be manually saved anytime, with an overwrite confirmation if you happen to enter an already existing name. basic functionality here puts many other point & clicks to shame, unfortunately, so all they had to do was find somebody to do the artwork and some friends and family for the voiceovers (or go text-only, but speech can at least be muted), then potentially apply a modest or bigger price tag. as it is though, free ai trash is still trash.

This game is a great example of the future of AI content. It's a rehashing of multiple old ideas in ways that are not unique and contain no real depth,. Like the AI voices, it doesn't resonate with the human emotion and experience of the real thing. Bland. Banal. Boring.

I pray God will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous, terrible in it's simpicity, irresistible in it's truth - a world that now trembles before the King in Yellow.
Bear's Take: "Zarathustra - Cybergeddon" - a cyberpunk adventure blending technology and religion, but does it deliver a compelling experience? Sip 'n' Savor: "Zarathustra - Cybergeddon" invites players to immerse themselves in a cyberpunk future where the lines between technology and religion blur. As Agent Amy Tanner, I embarked on a journey filled with mystery and intrigue, navigating through pixelated landscapes and uncovering secrets hidden within the digital realm. While the premise held promise, the execution fell short in several areas. The story, while intriguing, often veered into confusion, leaving me grappling with a lack of direction and coherence. Additionally, the music, a crucial element in setting the tone for the experience, failed to deliver, detracting from the overall immersion. Milk Mustache Moment: Despite its flaws, "Zarathustra - Cybergeddon" shines in its pixel art aesthetic, capturing the essence of a cyberpunk world with its retro-inspired visuals. The attention to detail in the environment design adds depth to the immersive experience, transporting players to a dystopian future where technology and spirituality collide. Roar Factor: While "Zarathustra - Cybergeddon" offers an intriguing premise and visually appealing pixel art, its narrative shortcomings and lackluster music hinder the overall enjoyment of the game. Players may find themselves grappling with confusion and frustration as they attempt to unravel the mysteries of the cyberpunk world. While it may appeal to fans of the genre, its flaws may deter others from fully engaging with the experience. Final Paw-sition: Should you venture into the cyberpunk world of "Zarathustra - Cybergeddon"? If you're a fan of pixel art and cyberpunk aesthetics, it may be worth a try. However, be prepared for a narrative that lacks coherence and direction, and music that fails to enhance the overall atmosphere. Rating: 🐻🍯🍯🍯🍯 (5 out of 10)
Apparently you have to follow the guide exactly because if you don't do things in the exact right order (like I did just clicking on things to see what happens) you get soft locked and can't complete the first day.
The story isn't the worst but overall, just terribly mid. I wanted to know more about the world, the religious sects, just general lore but beyond a few exposition dumps nothing is really explained. The game feels a little flat and empty and half of the time you're doing meaningless fetching that feels like it's there to waste some of your time and pad out the game length. The art is all over the place. There's no cohesion to it and your MC looks like a generic pretty girl in a very basic style that lacks much in the way of character and detail compared to basically everyone else. It was jarring to see her character portrait compared to even a random hobo you encounter once in the subway tunnels. Also, I played the entire game with dialogue muted because of the godawful voice acting.
Sure it's AI generated but it's also a good enough and most importantly free point and click adventure that does not overstay it's welcome at a modest 4h playtime. The worldbuilding seems to be made just to fit the strange imagery that AI generated art usuallly produces accidentaly so it's no wonder it reveals itself as a Cthulhu cosmic horror story in the end. The most annoying part was the world map which always resets to the middle (FBI HQ) and forces you to scroll around. The tiles that represent locations could also be more visually distinct from the backgrond of the map.
Игра выглядит очень круто.
