Yumori Forest is a violently stylish action game focused on fast-paced combat, chaotic boss fights and unforgiving difficulty.

An absolutely beautiful fun game. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It has simple yet very depthful combat and movement and the level design emphasizes that. The sound effects and music fit the game's theme perfectly, you can tell from every detail that passion was poored into this project. Wonderful game feel, navigating menus feels nice not to mention the usage of it for combat where hitting enemies with your sword feels very nice and has a weight to it. The artstyle is wonderful as well, like the combat simple but also very fitting. Beautiful is the perfect word for this game, as every aspect of it could be described with that. Everything from the sound to the combat its all just beautiful. This is a brilliant game. My only grip is the boss fight (the first one at least as its the only one I've seen) is just terrible. Its not a great test of the player's skill and all it is is frustrating and annoying, its a stain on an otherwise amazing game. Once again, would recommend!
Yumori Forest is a great little gem of a game. Great artsytle, a combat system both fun and challenging, and it's own identity. The overall amount of content is relatively small, so the $10 price tag may be a bit high for some, but it scratched a similar itch to Hyper Light Drifter and was made by one dude, so I think it's well worth supporting

A simple-looking game with a bit more depth than one might expect. Doesn't do a whole lot, but it does what it does very well. Excellent semi-minimalist graphics style, nice sound effects, appropriate balance. Fast-paced skill-based fighting. I would compare it very roughly to dark souls.
no idea what I'm doing or what's happening
Really good, incredibly underrated. The Hyper Light Drifter roguelite you never played.
Quick Score: 8/10 A very satisfying little action roguelike with simple yet effective combat.

I really enjoyed the game!
ENG ---------------------- I've found that game by pure case, neither I can remember how or how but I felt in love at the beginning! The pixelart style could be boring thorught the last years but the Mordecai's style (the author) manages to be unique. Emerging with that bicromic color style base on magenta and black, this one wit many of his gradiations, the nostalgic musics as if everything had stopped in time. Telling us not with the verb but with EYES the journey of this "latern keeper" He transports everyone into this frantic battle for the light. Yumori Forest, Mordecai perfectly knows how to give us hours of sweet victories (or defeats ;) ). A really good game and I'm crazy about it! PS:sorry for my bad english ahahah
Yumori Forest is a tough-as-nails, dead-and-done slash-em-up awesomefest. You play as the Latern Boy and your goal is to light the laterns of the realm while being chased by deadly sword-swinging, bow-firing, magic-blasting enemies who chase you down and want you DEAD. Levels are procedurally generated so replayability is HIGH - exploring is encouraged to find chests that contain buries, the currency used to upgrade Latern Boy's stats. The game starts off HARD and just gets harder, with new fast-shooting enemies appearing the longer you play, and Latern Boy's vision diminishing as he takes more damage. Overall I give Yumori Forest 9.5/10 - awesome game from an awesome upcoming megadev! Remember to bow to the merchant!
