What I liked
The art for the characters and the backgrounds are high quality.
The character's dating outfits I found very cute. I was impressed with the details of the background found in the date scenes: things like the number of people, the poses, and different background people appear based on the time of day.

What I disliked
The English translation is a bit rough and sometimes awkward, If you're a native English reader, you'll notice something feels off.
I remember when texting Erika, she says "hmp" instead of "hmph".
There were other times where a character was talking about something and it wouldn't make sense based on the current conversation or previous interactions, I assume something was lost in translation. Other times, the game forgets to acknowledge events that already happened:
When talking with Rin, there is a scene where she sends something to your home on Valentine's Day. Later in the game, there is a conversation in which Rin orders you food and send it to your home but from her dialogue she acts like it's her first time sending you something.
During, one of your first video calls with Kaori, some of her text isn't translated from Spanish to English when playing in English. The text itself is
Which ChatGPT translated to "I'll do it, I'll do it, it was a bad idea to give you the company one." & "And by the way..."
The Pong gameplay can use some improvement. I noticed the ball at higher speeds would sometimes clip and go through (like a ghost) both the player and opponent's paddles at the very top & bottom sections of the paddle when the ball is coming at an angle. To current players, I would recommend trying to align the paddle so the ball bounces off of the middle section when possible, I did that and stopped experiencing it as a player, the opponent's AI didn't know how to deal with it. Each opponent plays the same, which was a bit disappointing. I was hoping that the character's personalities would shape how they play against you. Couple of example suggestions : Since Kaori is more energetic, she is more fast to respond to the ball's movements and when idling between matches (like when the player has the ball attached to their paddle but hasn't released it yet) her pong jitters up and down. Miko due to her otaku and clumsy nature, can play really well but has a chance of completely losing a match by accidentally pressing the wrong button to control her paddle and sending it in the opposite direction she intended to. Tsukasa could be an average opponent, but on later encounters, she becomes the most difficult opponent, getting better as her obsession with order translates in her improving how she plays in order to beat you. Every time you score a goal in Pong, there is a more chibi or cartoonish full sized CG of your opponent having a gasping or shocked expression, which takes up the screen, then the score appearing which takes up the full screen also. During the game, you can already see the score, so I think having it there every time you score seems a bit redundant. The opponent's shocked expression CG gets tiring after the first time you see it. If it could be changed, I would prefer it where the CG is shrinked into an explosion speech bubble and briefly appears near the opponent's name then automatically dissapears every time so not interrupt the player's gameplay; with the player still able to control their Pong paddle while still being able to see their pong opponent's expression. Some of the text can be a bit repetitive. I noticed this during when the player receives texts from
the CEO who asks for the player's opinion should replace a character's position in the company. During most of these interactions most of this text is the same with the only thing being different being the different is the character name changing and the unique reason why the CEO is mad at said character. Everything else, even the player's reply are all the same and I think that section can use work.
It felt like a template or if it was copy and pasted.
When you first are able to choose a character to spend time with, there is a sequence with all characters where it shows the character's emotions through each of the days. I can't remember the specific order, but say if the player interacts with someone on Monday, regardless of the order in which the player chooses someone, all characters will be happy on Monday, each character will have a unique interaction with the player as they chat with them telling them why they're happy that day. The problem is that once you know this, all characters will feel a specific emotion on a specific day, which is unintentionally funny. The developers can probably make it less structured by randomizing the order of character's emotions by the day. For example, on Monday, Kaori is happy, Tsukasa is angry, Erika is sad, etc....
Looking at the Steam tags, you'll see the psychological horror tag. I played all the current content, only being Chapter 1 as of this review, and unlocked all the achievements in less than an hour. The horror content is less than 5 minutes.
It's at the end of Chapter 1 and it's more annoying than scary, it changes your wallpaper to a red Y. And now, I have to go search the internet for my old wallpaper.
I assume in later chapters this will be more of a shift to horror elements, but as of right now, I wouldn't describe this VN as horror.
Conclusion
Yume No Office has an interesting premise and high quality art. I would describe it as a slice-of-life office romance with Pong gameplay attached to it. However, based on my experience with the current content (which as of right now is only Chapter 1) I would not recommend it in it's current state. The English translation needs some work. The visual novel gameplay's structure for each character's routes at times follow a template and seems repetitive at times. If you're looking at this game due to the horror tag on Steam, it is currently nonexistent. If you're interested in this game, I would say be cautious and wait till the game is more fully fleshed out when later chapters release.
