There really are not a lot of surfing games out there but I can tell you this one just doesn't cut it. It's cool to see all the big spots from around the world and be able to ride them but the controls and score system for this game are miserably bad. You also need to create an external account in game using your email which I am not a fan of doing
This is the best bodyboarding (and surfing) game on the planet! It took me quite a while to learn how to initiate curtain manoeuvres and tricks but once I figured out how to do it, I had a blast! So much fun playing community maps, you'll never get bored because of how many different types of waves there are and you can even make your own! This game is a must get if your a fan of bodyboarding or surfing!
BEST BODYBOARD GAME! MISSING PRIZES FOR THE EVENT WINNERS LIKE THE OLD DAYS!
YouRiding has a storied legacy as a surfing sim, and its ambition to bring realistic wave-riding to PC is commendable. The core mechanics—surfing, bodyboarding, and mastering over 10 maneuvers—show potential, and the inclusion of multiplayer brackets, community-created waves, and a robust wave editor could make this a standout title… if it ran smoothly. Unfortunately, my experience on the Steam Deck OLED was marred by persistent visual bugs (glitchy textures, flickering waves) and inconsistent performance, even on low settings. While it’s playable, the immersion is constantly broken. Installing the game on a Micro SD card might contribute to some lag, but Early Access shouldn’t excuse this level of instability. Controller support works, but input delays during tricks make precision frustrating. For fans of YouRiding IV or The Journey, the nostalgia and new features might tempt you, but in its current state, I can’t recommend it. The foundation is there—fantastic locations, creative modes—but the technical flaws overshadow the fun. Here’s hoping future updates polish performance, especially for handheld players. Until then, wait before riding this wave.
If you love riding waves than you will like this game. As someone who can no longer ride waves physically this game fills a void. With waves from all around the world both official and community created there is something for every riding style both bodyboarding and surfing. Join the discord where the developers not only listen to the players but interact with them over ideas for growing the game. No regrets buying this game one bit.
This game is tricky at first but it's a lot of fun! The vision you get in first person POV while in the barrel is worth it alone.
really disappointed, ill pay 10$ for the old game not this. and no dropknee :( really went backwards with this one boyos. if i was paying for OG game id easily drop 50$+ on in game purchases bc it was sucha sick one gg gimme money back ty
good game fun to play if you have the money to buy the game i recommend if you can get your money back with out any issues but if you cant i recommend just saving up for something better, in the videos of the game it shows the land but you cant see it its a lie i dont know why but you cant. its fun to play tho not the best graphics but its not to bad it would be nice if they did a update on the graphics like when you go pov you cant see the hands the board, and if you do a air revers in pov the camera wont move it will just stay pointed forward
L game wont even run on either of my computers its not my shi lol
I cannot believe I found this game again. I played this on a freaking web browser back in like 2013????? omfg maybe even before. I was blow away as a avid bodyboarder I have never seen a game that mimics it so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ well. Sure it isn't perfect but the jank is so good and it is the best ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ surf/ only bodyboarding game out. GET IT it is amazing for 5 bucks. TBF. The controls are a little strange. However once the muscle mem kicks in its like flicking the stick of a controller and just works.
