About
Starring Youmu Konpaku from Touhou Project!
In this challenging physics-based game, you will have to precisely lift the cube against gravity and carefully navigate to the exit of each level without touching the walls or enemies. But this is easier said than done, due to the cube's high speed as well as enemies that will try to mess with you! Mechanics like Focus mode and the Charged slash will prove useful, but expect to fail a lot. Fortunately, a lower-difficulty option is also available. Can you beat all 100 levels, with all sorts of different enemies & mechanics scattered across the journey?
100 levels, plus something extra at the end
6 worlds, each bringing their own challenges
Fight or escape from 17 different foes, each with their own behavior
Use the power of Animal Spirits to alter Youmu's abilities to complete levels

For a free game, it isn't bad, but I was let down by the precision side of things. The movement feels very weighty which seems to be by design, though it doesn't feel very comfortable, especially when coupled with some other elements. It's hard to find the signs where and what impacts it one way or another to a place where I could find it manageable. The way the enemies are implemented in conjunction with the mouse controls, the strong recoil, and the fast attack speed you have, it could've been better. I wish attacking worked in the direction of your movement, or other keys (like wasd or arrows) instead of having to use the mouse, but that alone would change the gameplay enough where it'd require restructuring. The combat breaks apart the precision platformer side of things here for me as well, coupled with the recoil and the movement issues I had already described. It feels like things are put to a halt, as you're in a struggle to reach the enemy, not fly into them, nor away, even with the focus at times. You can use the charge attack, but in that same time you could hit many enemies for more, but in the first place, I just wish they didn't take as many hits as they do anyway. Collisions and hit boxes, both for the player and the enemies are okay. They mostly seem fine. I feel it's important to bring up in a game like this. It wasn't the focus of my issues. Maybe Youmu's sword, but it was rare where it looked I had just grazed an enemy with it, only for it to not hit them. I don't like that I can't use the arrow keys for movement, so maybe I just couldn't find myself comfortable, having to try and figure out just how the gravity impacted Youmu. Then you add to that the recoil from things like combat, the fighting itself, and I guess it just strayed from something precision based to do with movement, and instead with something more general. It didn't all mix well together for me. I think there are people that will enjoy this game, but maybe it's just not my thing. I didn't play the flash game it was inspired by, I was more of a "World's Hardest Game" person, so maybe much of what I said is accurate to it. Despite my gripes with it, I feel more neutral about it. so I don't think I can say this game is bad. It depends on what you expect from it, and I was expecting something closer to typical precision platformers, so it didn't really click with me.

Its actually e very hard game. But if you know the creator from before he made this, you would understand why its this hard. Whether or not you like this game depends on whether you like very hard games because this is one of those. I dont have much else to say about it, the mechanics ((which yuou can see in the trailer) are fun. The only bad part in my opinion is that all the walls and stuff kill you but thats just a skill issue

This game is in fact rather difficult. The gravity aspect of this game takes a while to get used to, and in the end I still was not quite comfortable with it. This game incorporates new idea in every world which generally keeps gameplay fresh. But I think it could benefit from more levels with ideas like the one where it rotates (It is in the trailer), as that is the only level with such a feature or any moving wall besides the frequent back and forth of some walls. But despite this, this game is not creatively bankrupt, unlike some people seem to claim (*cough cough* obeythefist *cough cough*). If I could change one thing about the game, it would be changing level 99 specifically. Quite frankly it is extremely frustrating because you move back and forth on the same path like 4 and a half times, getting progressively easier, but still extending the level unnecessarily. Additionally, the gap you have to clear at the very end is too narrow. It does not really come down to skill, but rather being lucky enough to tap your W and S key in such a way that you align perfectly (I died once because I went slightly too far). Also, hitboxes are not 100% clear. This is not usually an issue and they are from what I have seen in the players favour, but it does make it unclear in a scenario like this if you can actually clear the gap or not. I would solve this by making the hitbox exact and not allowing the cube to rotate, although I understand that the rotation is part of the charm. Maybe make it a rotating circle? Idk. If I were to price this game, as someone who is pretty cheap, I would say that around 1.49 is a good price I would be willing to pay. I ultimately finished the game after almost exactly 1900 deaths and like 4 hours because for some of it I was not inside the game. I would still rather pay 20 currency units for this though then PvZ replanted. One of my favourite levels was when there were 2 purple skulls (You know which one). Despite the fact that I died a lot, I did not feel frustrated at all. One more thing, if it was me making the game I would extend weapon range a bit, especially in cat form but also in general. In terms of what this game wants to be, I would rate it an 8/10. Well designed with creative ideas, but some minor flaws.
Ball Revamped 2. A grindy, greedy, unbalanced game and a disappointing sequel to a masterpiece. What if there was a Ball Revamped game with balanced levels, no repetitiveness and no microtransactions? Look no further than this game by Shyguymask!
