YOU DON’T KNOW JACK SPORTS, developed and published by Jackbox Games, Inc., is a distinctive entry in the long-running You Don’t Know Jack trivia series that merges sports knowledge with the franchise’s signature humor. The game transforms conventional sports trivia into a fast-paced, comedic experience, putting players’ knowledge of sports culture, history, and oddball facts to the test. From football and basketball to more niche activities like golf, tennis, and even lawn darts, the game covers a wide range of sports, providing a playful yet challenging environment for both casual fans and dedicated sports enthusiasts. The game is hosted by the sarcastic and quick-witted Guy Towers, whose commentary drives the tone and keeps the experience lively and entertaining. Gameplay in YOU DON’T KNOW JACK SPORTS revolves around answering multiple-choice questions correctly to earn points. What sets it apart from standard trivia games is the way it intertwines humor with challenge: questions are often framed with tongue-in-cheek phrasing, pop culture references, or ironic twists that reward players for both knowledge and wit. Players must think quickly and strategically, especially in timed rounds where hesitation can cost valuable points. The combination of sharp writing, unpredictable questions, and satirical commentary keeps the pace brisk and the tension high, making each round an engaging mental exercise. Visually, the game embraces a bold, colorful design that complements its energetic style. The interface is clean and intuitive, allowing players to focus on the questions and gameplay rather than extraneous features. Animations, text effects, and other visual flourishes reinforce the humor and maintain the game’s lively rhythm. The presentation stays true to the You Don’t Know Jack series’ aesthetic, which blends clarity with playful dynamism, creating an environment that feels both accessible and entertaining. A key highlight of the game is its host, Guy Towers, whose sarcastic remarks and comedic timing elevate the experience beyond typical trivia gameplay. His commentary adds personality and context to each question, often poking fun at sports stereotypes, bizarre historical events, or the quirks of the athletes themselves. This humorous framing makes even challenging questions feel approachable and turns each round into an interactive performance rather than a simple quiz. While the humor is a central strength, it is also a stylistic choice that may not resonate with every player, particularly those unfamiliar with satire or who prefer a more serious sports simulation experience. Critically, YOU DON’T KNOW JACK SPORTS has been appreciated for its clever writing, engaging presentation, and ability to make trivia both fun and challenging. The game’s mix of humor, broad sports coverage, and rapid-fire questioning offers an experience that feels fresh and entertaining even for players who may not consider themselves sports experts. It successfully balances difficulty and accessibility, allowing casual players to enjoy the game while offering enough depth to challenge trivia veterans. In summary, YOU DON’T KNOW JACK SPORTS stands out as a humorous, fast-paced trivia game that merges sports knowledge with clever writing and a charismatic host. Its engaging gameplay, witty commentary, and diverse range of questions make it a memorable entry in the series. While the satirical humor may not appeal to all players, those who enjoy lighthearted, challenging, and entertaining trivia will find YOU DON’T KNOW JACK SPORTS to be a thoroughly enjoyable and uniquely engaging experience. Rating: 7/10
If you are already a fan of classic YDKJ, I highly recommend this iteration as well. Of course, you also have to have a good amount of sports knowledge as well. As the game is all about it, but it's still another fun edition in the series even with the outdated questions.
I know nothing of sports. But if you do I guess it's decent.

This is a 90's sports trivia game. It's as simple as that. Unless you love You Don't Know Jack and love sports trivia from before Y2K, I wouldn't recommend this game for you. [I did get this as part of a humble bundle, along with many other Jackbox games, but that didn't affect my review in any way.]
Got this from the bundle, don't know a damn thing about sports.
Tags: Casual - Quizzes Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR:Couch party game where people have to share a keyboard? References are dated. There are 2017 "party packs" with controller support that revitalized the franchise. Outdated Nice tongue in cheek humor and good concept. But made completely obsolete by the Jackbox 2015 remasters that offer proper controller support. More modern pop culture references and a better engine. Removing all DOS-ERA YDKJ for their dated clunkyness.
