Yorkshire Gubbins

For me this game is oddly calming, probably due to the exceptional voice acting. Lots of good jokes too. The robots are absolutely adorable! It's rather short, but really, really good!

Yorkshire Gubbins is a reet proper game, it is. Full o’ heart and down-to-earth fun, like sittin’ on t’garden bench with a pint and a pack o’ pork scratchings. It’s simple as pie to play but keeps tha hooked like a good soap on t’telly. Tha’s basically lookin’ after bits and bobs—yer “gubbins,” if tha will—collectin’ ‘em up and keepin’ ‘em tidy. It’s just like tidyin’ up yer mum’s attic, but without all the cobwebs and grumblin’. The controls are easy as, so tha can just crack on without any fuss or bother. The game’s got that proper Yorkshire spirit—none o’ that fancy, flash stuff, just honest, plain good fun. It’s like a stroll through t’countryside on a bright day, nice and slow, takin’ in t’views and enjoyin’ t’quiet moments. And it’s got a bit of Yorkshire wit too, so tha’s bound to have a smile on yer face. I’d say, if tha wants summat relaxing, with a bit of local flavour and plenty o’ charm, give Yorkshire Gubbins a whirl. It’s the kind of game that feels like a warm welcome and a good natter with an old mate. Proper good craic, that. Give it a go, and tha won’t be disappointed! 10/10

I ruined my best friend's wedding, learned how to use verbs, baked a pie and sang with robots. And then I started playing Yorkshire Gubbins! Anyway, Yorkshire Gubbins is an exceptional point and click adventure game in a sense that it rewards you with actually funny jokes. It is charming, well-written, and the puzzles are fun too. Although, the puzzles could have been more difficult. The only bad thing is that there is not enough of it. Worth the full price of measly 5€. 5/5

I've played this game front to back twice now. However, I haven't played this game in months, maybe a year. The reason I'm on the store page is because I think about this game a lot. Even now I'm thinking I'll play it again soon. I think this may be the most underrated, under-played, under-known game on this platform. This game has a lot of character and a lot of identity. The writing is charming and hilarious. The voice acting is perfect. This game's only issue is that it's over long before you've had enough of Steggy and her world. I only hope one day it makes sense for the dev to come back and spend some more time on Yorkshire Gubbins..

Short, breezy little episodes, but utterly charming. EDIT: now that I've played through it a second time to just find all the various options and dialogues...just want to reiterate how bloody delightful it is. Also, amazing voice work (and singing).

The North of England is the part of England where one is most likely to encounter actual humans. [i]Yorkshire Gubbins[/i] turns this well-known scientific fact on its head by introducing the elements of human-cloning slug monsters and sort-of-humanoid robots to Yorkshire! Charming, dialect-laden wackiness ensues, perfect for times when [i]Frog Detective[/i] is too much of a time commitment. Buy this game soon, as the developer needs encouragement!

I loved this game. It made me laugh quite a bit, and the voice acting was the icing on the cake. And on top of it all, it costs less and is way more fun than a trip to the coffee shop.

Honestly just the most charming and wonderful game I've played in years - great humour, lovely graphics and genuinely fun graphic adventure puzzles. Loved it to bits.
