YBit is a puzzle platformer taking heavy inspiration from Super Meat Boy or VVVVV, with a story that reminds me of Thomas Was Alone. It is well made, but has its flaws. Pros: -Challenging gameplay that mixes things up -A story that I would like to see more of -XB360 Controller support Cons: -Incredible difficulty spike at level 28. I can't get past this. -I really don't like the main theme. It is a grating tune that repeats far too quickly and gets old really fast. Fortunately, the music changes later on and at least it can be turned off. -No windowed support or resolution support, it will launch at your desktop resolution. I cannot recommend this at full price, but at a sale price it is worth a try. Drop me a note if you can film making it past level 28, I wonder if I am missing something obvious.
Great game! Ultra fast paced and very challenging! I hate level 28...
A surprisingly addictive little game (have to try just one more time!) with nicely polished gameplay mechanics. There's also a sufficient amount of variation between the levels so it doesn't get repetitive quickly. All in all, a perfect time killer!
The only downside of this game is releasing the same day as Wolfenstein 2 and AC: Origins
It's your standard 8-bit tough-as-nails platformer. It's not exactly bad but I don't think it's worth investing my time and interest into it. Not to mention the unreadable texts on 4K screen and broken English. If you like torturing yourself with these kind of games, yeah sure maybe. Otherwise, you're better off playing something else
Very nice game
Horrendous controls, level design, and graphics.
------------------------- A platform game with no appeal whatsoever, functional, but charging for a game like that when there are hundreds of free platform games, many with some unique appeal or mechanics is a choice that I respect, but I cannot recommend that anyone buy it.
Great fast paced game, with lots of mecanics and challenging levels. Also great soundtrack :P
