For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

How do I refund a game
Great Space game - worth a re-visit or a try for those who haven`t ... Just switch off from the fact that this is a complete different playing style from the other x-series games out there.
Einfach nur Geil, wenn man auf solche Spiel Steht
good game
Visually stunning in many parts, this game for me is neutered by it's hugely cumbersome and tedious GUI making empire management more of a headache than fun. There's just no excuse for it. It's such an effort to do even basic things like give point and click orders to ships from the map display (which in itself is badly lacking requiring too much scrolling around in a tiny space.) A real pity that one ends up spending way too much time in the GUI and missing the really fun and visually stunning parts of the game. This has also been a common complaint of the earlier games in the series, and for good reason there also. But no points for consistency on that. So, mods for me are a must to make some things essentially usable (perhaps why they removed the infamous *modified* tag from this game), begging the question why the mod functions were not part of the core game on release. Good user testing would easily have revealed these, so one assumes they were ignored and wonders is there a growing reliance here on the community patching these issues for the Devs, or are earlier (arguably beta) releases of games now the norm with a "we'll patch it later one we have the cash" attitude..? A risky strategy since you are likely to get kickback, possible brand rejection, and with a series like the X Series, loyal customer alienation and disappointment. That said, I think the X series has many loyal and dedicated fans (I'd count myself as one), but that's no excuse to take the p*ss.. All that said, if you can return to a modded game without the thought of battling the GUI turning you off (admittedly I struggle still), then it's certainly possible to enjoy this game. For this reason I've not been entirely put off and cautiously recommended it if on sale, particularly if you're a fan of the series. I got it on sale and if I'd paid full price I'd feel differently. This game could just be so much more and a worthy successor to X3, and it's a bit sad that you end up feeling that the "fight" part of the mantra actually feels more applicable to the interface than to anything in-game. I'll finish by saying that the next instalment in the series, X4 Foundations, seems to have a hugely better interface with a lot of the issues seen in Rebirth worked out (though not entirely), but leaves Rebirth feeling like more of an X4 beta version than a separate game. Get X4 if you are new to the series, or if you'd just rather have a more polished eXperience.
Since the beginning of Rebirth, this is by far the best rendition. Full of surprises that will keep you on your toes: the storyline is intricated and while driving, it is not crucial for creating your own empire... finally I can start a game and create a base support and crafting before engaging on new adventures unprepared. Plus I love commandeering other's ships !! haha Lots of fun!
