More of a neutral rating for this game. Its fun, the graphics and art style are great. The bits of history we get of the area is good as well. The difficulty of the game is good, too. However, I found that avoiding some enemy attacks was obnoxiously hard. Double tapping the block button in the middle of combat either results in an accidental parry or the dodge just does not work resulting in getting your health melted down real quick. Also, the adds in the boss fights are not needed.
Game seems to be dead. It attempts to load on Build 33, but will never launch. I enjoyed the game for the amount of time I did get to play it...
I only played 30 minutes and I am already bored - plain one button smash with no combinations or challenge. Is a badly designed game and not entertaining gameplay at all. It is boring mindless and the CPU is slow and dumb.
Wulverblade is an excellent fit for the Steam Deck. If you enjoy a side scrolling beat 'em up style game, like Castle Crashers, Streets of Rage, Battle Toads, etc., then you'll enjoy hacking and slashing your way through the Ninth Legion of the Roman army!
This is blooming brilliant. Looks super and plays even better. Very stylish and playable.J can't believe more bmup fans r not talking about it. Let's have a sequel, please.

The game is very well made, although quite short, but raw amount of blood, gore and ol' good ultraviolence makes it must-play for everyone who loves old-school beat'em'ups. The gameplay is well-balanced, and most of the moves and strikes are usefull and easy to execute. Oh yes, there are also executions there. Art style and music are nice as well. Totally worth it's money.
We enjoyed it. However, it's worth noting we beat the entire game in under 5 hours. It could easily be beaten in 3 or 4 if we didn't struggle on that final boss. It was the best spiritual successor to golden axe we have played. Visuals and combat are great, fun couch co-op for sure. We didn't see any replay value. Still, mostly satisfied with this game.
