Довольно интересный опыт игры за призрака на побегушках у местных спецслужб. Как вариант, можно активно саботировать их работу, но
финал будет один. Можно лишь выбрать, кто в итоге огребёт.
This is where I would really like a "not sure" button. I've only played through the once but intend to use the special "save" system next time to avoid repeating the hard slog to get to the real choices - a lot of them don't seem to make much difference to the plot or my skillset. Its an interesting enough plot, but I felt it was padded out too much in places, simply to make the game longer. For the moment I don't have enough interest to do a second run through and make different choices. I did not find the MC or the other characters likeable enough to want to know more about them. 5/10 for now, but it may improve with different choices when I get around to playing again. Not good, but not bad either, and it lasts longer than a movie and its better than listening to rain on the roof.
A fun enough little Choose-Your-Own-Adventure game, but the writing's a little dry and it's surprisingly easy to get the bad ending. You play as a wraith (of whatever gender identity you choose, or none at all) and work for a secret government agency monitoring terrorist groups and political enemies. It's very morally-grey and you will be forced to make tough moral choices, often with things not turning out how you expected. Overall, i'd consider this a mild Recommend.
That's a shame: with more focus on ONE SINGLE story line (or couple that actually have an interconnection) and more polished characters that would be a masterpiece.
10/10. El juego te permite cagar a fascistas y plausiblemente convertirte en un Dios. ¿Qué mas puede uno pedir?
Good game and a terrifying one. Like always with the writer, the decision you make at the start of your adventure are not strong enough to change the story. But as the story pass those decision are easy to read and develop with your character. If your aren't afraid easily i recommend this game.
I was hesitant to buy this game. I was worried it would be some overly dramatic pulp fiction, but it was actually well written. Also the wraith lore was VERY reminiscent of Wraith the Oblivion, the game by White Wolf. There were other supernatural beings too that made me almost feel like I was in White Wolf's World of Darkness, though it wasn't quite as dark as a White Wolf story would be. But the thing that most impressed me was how the personality trait mechanics affected the story. As you make choices your personality traits automatically shift on different continuums like "community vs solitariness, or "inquiry vs privacy" and "honesty vs guile," etc. Where you fall on these scales actually shapes how well your choices are received by other characters. So sometimes I would be completely honest with a character but because I had not conducted myself in an honest way in my other choices (even ones that had nothing to do with who I was talking to) my honesty score wasn't especially high. That meant that honesty wasn't really something built into my integrity so often people just wouldn't hear the sincerity in my voice. My words wouldn't ring true and they'd just be suspicious of how I carried myself. It really made me not only think about what I was doing in the moment but who I was trying to be as a person. I've never had a game react in such a nuanced way to what I did. It's a brilliant system and it was written into the dialogue smoothly. Furthermore, it's not necessarily wise to make your personality traits the most extreme in the hopes that you'll have more consistent reactions from others. There is a major plot point that actually rewards people who have maintained a balance on both sides of the trait continuums. So in the end I was glad I didn't try to force my personality traits in a certain direction. It was more interesting for me to see how they fell naturally, Characteristics that were middle of the road still gave me some benefit in the end. There are also stats you can just focus on as a wraith that describe your powers, like psychokinesis. Those are straight forward like you'd see in any game like this. So you do have the satisfaction of directly shaping your character's effectiveness through those. I felt like there were a lot of branching paths not taken in the story and so I could definitely see some replay value. I also felt like I came very close to some dire consequences or a true death. There are some choices that even if you survive you will have permanent stat decreases, but I felt like there was ample warning in the story. I didn't feel like any of the choices I made ultimately held me back. It did add for a lot of tension though and I still wonder where some of those paths would have led. I do have a couple of criticisms. You are dead and being a wraith carries with it a disconnect from life so some people may not feel very satisfied with the relationships you form. Also there are some romantic scenes that are really half baked and just thrown together out of thin air. They were so brief that I just kind of glossed over them. I believe there is one that would be substantial but I didn't want to be involved with her that way so I'm not sure how it would have progressed. The others should never have even been injected the way they were, so a point off for that! Because of the occasional sense of detachment without enough dark atmosphere to give it more depth and because of the bad romances I'm going to give it a 7/10, but that's still a good recommendation. I loved the variety of choices and the organic way the story molded itself to my personality development.
