За последних более чем 20 лет, я играл с друзьями, с братом в Worms Armageddon, Worms 4 Mayhem, Worms Reloaded и даже в Worms на телефоне Siemens C65. И вот, увидев скидки, вспомнив то, как мы играли, брат мне предложил вспомнить былое и поиграть и в эту часть. Не секунды не думая, я согласился, купил эту игру и кайфанул. Чем Worms W.M.D отличается от предыдущих игр серии? Тут появилась военная техника (например, танки, роботы, вертолеты), стационарные орудия (пулеметы, огнеметы и др), так же есть крафт оружия, теперь здания это не просто фон, а место куда можно зайти и противник не видит что происходит внутри, система прокачки, где с каждым уровнем можно получить какой-нибудь предмет для кастомизации своей "червячной команды". Активностей в игре есть немало- это и кампания с 30 миссиями, и обучающие миссии, и дополнительные миссии, и испытания, и рейтинговая игра, так же можно играть по локалке и по сети вне рейтинга. Ну без минусов тоже не обошлось: мало карт, сетевые баги, вылеты игры. Worms W.M.D. — достойная часть серии, которая бережно относится к традициям и привносит свежие идеи. Крафт, техника и здания оживляют геймплей, а сетевая игра по‑прежнему дарит массу эмоций. Несмотря на отдельные недостатки, игра понравится как давним поклонникам серии, так и новичкам. Ну и отдельное спасибо разработчикам за то, что они сделали ее классической 2D! W.M.D- Worms Must Die!

Worms W.M.D is basically what happens when you give a bunch of angry worms access to military equipment and absolutely zero adult supervision. The gameplay is simple: aim, shoot, destroy the other worms. Simple, right? Wrong. Five minutes later you're calculating wind direction, measuring angles like you've suddenly become a NASA engineer, driving a tank into a building, accidentally blowing yourself up with your own grenade, and blaming the controller for a mistake that was 100% your fault. There are loads of weapons, vehicles, crafting, buildings, ninja ropes and enough ways to ruin your friend's day that you could probably solve most real-world conflicts with a well-placed Holy Hand Grenade. And that's what makes Worms so good. You don't just win. You win because you pulled off an absolutely ridiculous shot that had no business working, followed by everyone screaming "HOW?!" Then, five minutes later, you miss a stationary worm from three feet away. The balance of power has been restored. 10/10. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys turn-based strategy, explosions, or discovering exactly how quickly a friendship can deteriorate over a cartoon worm. I haven't spoken to Dave since the Concrete Donkey incident. He knows what he did.
