World's Dawn

I am cautiously recommending this game. Mostly due to the devs effort and passion for the story. While it is a farming and social sim it mostly focuses on the social aspect. The farming aspect is definitely side content. The townsfolk/social gameplay and story is good, but became too repetitive for me. I feel like most of my gameplay was running around the town looking for specific townsfolk or items to give them. The dialogue can become repetitious and even the festivals and events felt like copies of each other. I think a visual novel may have been a better choice to present the story as the gameplay seems unnecessary. That being said I still recommend giving this a try. Buy it on sale, you may end up loving it!

it's fun but super unpolished. like everything, especially the menus, are so clunky and there are a lot of things in the game that will annoy you. some annoying bugs as well. the late game starts to become a bit of a feast or famine situation where you either have way too much or way too little to do each day. it's also super convoluted trying to find anything out like what recipes should i make and what items should have on hand to give to what villagers and so on. there's a lot of other things where you just have to end up constantly checking the wiki to make sure you're doing everything right and this definitely is a wiki game unfortunately. there are are some tasks you need to start doing asap or else you get a little screwed over by that so you also want to check the wiki to make sure you're starting everything on time as well. all that said, it is a cozy heart felt game and i don't play a lot of these kinds of games (really besides this it's mostly just animal crossing) so i did appreciate playing through it. it is the kind of game you would only buy for the charm of the town and the characters and it does get repetitive/pointless (pointless insofar as a lot of the tasks you're supposed to do just stop being important) but since, like i say, i don't play many of these kinds of games, it was worth playing through
