Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

这个游戏真的教会了我做人的道理,它用实际行动告诉我一个美术看上去很好的独立游戏,游戏性大概率会是一坨屎
TL;DR: gamer entitlement at its best. Games good. Buy it if you enjoy this type of niché at the risk of being called a "Consoomer" this game is great. its fun, its pretty well made, and its genuinely enjoyable (don't mind the hours. i ended up playing this a lot during periods of not having internet due to my ISP being a ♥♥♥♥) a lot of the people complaining about "Stagnant updates" seem to be under the (frankly misguided) assumption that this isn't a finished game. that they haven't purchased a finished project and that its somehow early access despite having a full suite of features. Vast modding supporting. And various other things while there is some scuzzy stuff on the side. it'd be hypocritical to point to this when there are devs and publishing companies responsible for much worse than... Not updating a finished game and pushing out merch constantly????? which is just like w/e lmao. don't buy the merch if you're mad?

somehow in the last 2 years and a half we have gotten way more merch than actual content for the game... feels unfinished and is most assuredly not worth the 20 dollar asking price
Why is this Steam Deck verified? Screen scaling doesn't work properly, controller inputs doesn't work either, any proper Steam Deck workable config isn't default and all button prompts are for KBM even with the controller setting enabled. As usual, the verification system is a joke, especially with titles like this.
时隔一年多作者居然复活了 但更新的是周边这辈子有了 如果不是创意工坊你游是真死了 我们需要的是完整游戏而不是他妈300刀的手表
This game is probably one of the most disappointing games I've ever bought that I had to come back 2 years later to finally write out my impression of it. I was incredibly excited to play this when it first released, being a fan of J-horror movies and Junji Ito, but quickly found the game to be a very repetitive text adventure, with extremely short gameplay loops and lots of the same blocks of text to re-read over and over again that it felt as i I wasn't making much progress at all. I was hooked in by the visuals but the story and characters are bland, the gameplay just isn't for me, and overall leaves the impression that the dev abandoned the game; manyy story items don't have a purpose in the existing stories so I figured maybe they'd had other stories in mind but nope. The game is kept alive by fans with cosmetic mods and fan-written stories. It's really sad for a game with potential to kinda just sit there letting its fans pick up the pieces.
If the hours and hours of playtime don't say it, I do love this game. However, I can only recommend buying it on sale. The last update to World of Horror was February of 2024, promising updates in March (of 2024!), which obviously never actually happened. As much as I love this game, its aesthetic, its gameplay loop: I can't in good conscience *recommend* it. My enjoyment of this game is unfortunately forever tainted by unfulfilled promises, as it is for a lot of other players. This game is still good. That amazing, unsettling aesthetic and enjoyable gameplay is still there. If this game calls to you, absolutely buy it (on sale) and play it! You can 100% have a great experience with World of Horror if it's your kind of game. Just be sure to keep your expectations low for any future updates or added content, and remember that the Forest Tapes, Rooftop Telescope, and Beach Statuette don't actually do anything — and likely never will.
Excellent game. Popping in mostly to counteract recent review bombing -- it's a shame devs went AWOL and didn't keep up with the announced update schedule but it's wildly unfair to call the game in its current state incomplete. There are 22 different mysteries, 14 playable characters and 9 gods -- there's plenty of content here and you can easily get through 15-20 hours before stuff starts cycling too much. Plus there's workshop support and an active modding scene -- if you're really that desperate for extra content check it out or try making some yourself ;) As far as "incomplete" content goes there's one item that's implied to be part of a larger quest that has no follow up. That's it. That's what all these people complaining about "not 1.0" and "incomplete" are talking about. No wonder the dev doesn't want to come back! Don't let the review bombers scare you off, it is absolutely a complete experience well worth the pricetag in its current state.
各种机制和设定非常适合深入打磨,只可惜游戏内容实在是太少了,而且目前看上去完全不打算更新 有一种只打完了demo内容就发现这已经是全部内容的救赎感
This game is so conceptually cool, but it feels abandoned by the devs. Features are half implemented or broken, like controller support with no deadzones, the options menu doesn't save changes until you start a game and save from within that, just lots of little sloppy missteps that have persisted for years. It degrades faith in the product, especially when basic content updates move at a snail's pace. It feels like it's still an early access game despite the 1.0 release. This is a game I've not only bought for myself, but have gifted it to people as well because there was a time when I thought this game had a lot of promise, but as things are, the potential hasn't really been met and I would have trouble recommending it because of that.
