Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Dev has seemingly abandoned the game. Do not buy until he comes back (if he ever does)

Dev ran away and we are pretty much left with a pretty solid game with no new content after the last update. The publishers have also annouced some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ overpriced merch when the dev promised new updates in the future Mind you the game is amazing and its pixie art style is amazing. But with zero news from the dev and nothing and i mean radio silent on anything, with nothing he promised. i recomend getting on a sale or when its cheep AF
Yeah the dev is kinda flaky but he's been working on it pretty consistently since EA in 2019. It's not particularly hard, but the game is less about perfect run optimization like a lot of rouge-likes, and more just about experimenting with different things to try to get all the different endings of the investigations. The game is a bit "janky", but considering I've never really played another RPG or horror game with remotely similar gameplay- I feel like the "jank" is a bit hard to quantify. If you can't tell from my hours on record the game is easily worth $20, if you like the Junji Ito aesthetic, it's pretty much a must play.
Bravo! We all chase the feeling of starting a new game, then falling in love with it, only for it to end so shortly, leaving you wondering what could've you done differently? The entirety of this game is a one big plot twist, lots of questions left unanswered, but in the end you'll understand everything, or nothing, depending on how immersed you were in your play through. I enjoy Lovecraftian horror, Stephen King, and Junji Ito, so I was really hooked by the dense and creepy atmosphere in this game! The visuals and gameplay are truly captivating. I've only completed 20% of the game, but I definitely want to finish it! It would be great if the achievements were also tracked on Steam, but having them in the game is still good. It took me about three hours of continuous play to fully grasp the mechanics and get comfortable with World of Horror, but once I did, I was hooked. As a fan of Junji Ito and horror manga, I never expected to find a game that so perfectly captures that eerie, unsettling atmosphere—yet World of Horror delivers. One of the game’s greatest strengths is how it keeps you questioning every decision. You constantly wonder what you might have missed, what you could have done differently, and how to improve on your next run. Like any good roguelike, it leaves you with that irresistible feeling of “just one more run.” And with mods, the experience expands even further, offering even more variety. That said, if you’re looking for a game that holds your hand, this isn’t it. The roguelike structure means you’ll encounter similar scenarios repeatedly, and the game doesn’t go out of its way to guide you. If that’s a dealbreaker, World of Horror might not be for you. Overall, it’s a well-crafted and atmospheric game that I hope continues to receive updates and new content.
WORLD OF HORROR was developed by panstasz and published by Ysbryd Games and PLAYISM. It released in 2023 to cautiously optimistic reviews. To me, WORLD OF HORROR exemplifies everything wrong with the Roguelite genre. The stellar presentation, both with the incredible 1-bit pixel art and the soundtrack, could've made for a genuinely effective Horror Anthology visual novel or longer visual novel story, in the vein of "What if Junji Ito's "Uzumaki" was a choose your own adventure game with multiple endings?" Instead, it's an experience entirely cheapened by RNG, where anything interesting only happens if you're lucky to experience it, combat sucks, everything takes a year to do (it's an insipid roguelite, combined with the sluggish pace of your average VN after all) and the things that do happen regularly (i.e. your main scenarios) are so repetitive that it feels like its own Psychological Horror. Playing WORLD OF HORROR is an excercise in a million sighs, with each one hiding behind it the implied, forlorn exclamation of "oh, what could've been!" And, after a hundred or so yawns, as your vision begins to blur and your eyes slowly become half-shut, you can just about swear that the "HORROR" in the game's title, slowly rearranges itself into the word "BOREDOM", for that is all that this game is: a WORLD OF BOREDOM; and that's a damn shame. Another hefty serving of great potential ground into dust by the Roguelite slop mill.
