Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Really like this game but they just never delivered the rest of it. Just a bummer.
I REALLY want to like this game, especially since it does deliver what it advertises. But let's be real here, this game is an unfinished frame of a game, and it's not getting finished. I know I'm not getting my money back for this, but honestly, I kinda wish I could, because there's barely any content added from the pre-1.0 release.

我很喜歡這遊戲的畫風跟事件 但你倒是更新啊,一年過去了錄影帶到現在一樣沒有用處 卻還有臉在那賣周邊
There's some decent content here, but it's a $5 to $7 game not a $20 game. The game is absolutely nothing like the trailer at all. It's 99% static images with the occasional 2 second animation. The individual missions have a plot, but they're mostly random encounters vaguely related to the story padding out a single boss encounter and a few paragraphs of plot. Keep in mind that the missions have nothing at all to do with each other or the overarching plot and there are only a couple of them. The gameplay is pretty weak too. The spells are essentially useless. The ghost banishment sequence is the same for every single ghost and there's a flowchart of the optimal guesses to make. Combat is entirely dependent on getting a weapon that matches your character's primary stat and randomly getting the right perks. The timing system seems unique at first, but in reality it lacks any depth. It's also not actually unique so much as it is rare; it's called action points and there are quite a few games that use them. The interplay of decreasing stamina and reason along with increasing doom (failure conditions essentially) contrasted with increasing stats is sorta interesting, but from a practical perspective there's not much there. You have to balance those three stats so that you don't die, go crazy, or take too long allowing the cult to win, but what it really means is that you need decent RNG in beginning so you don't take a bunch of damage in combat before you can defend yourself. Some of the more interesting content requires a sequence of rare random encounters all in the right order. The otherworldly Thirst achievement comes to mind. At least the Strange Lights event has an interesting result. Then again the ending of the game is just, "congrats, you beat the eldritch god", so the bar is pretty low. I put a ton of hours into this game, so I can't say I dislike it, but I only recommend this game when it's at least 67% off. It's game jam quality at a professional game price. I'm a professional software developer for what it's worth. I can't draw, but I could throw the rest of this game together in my spare time in under a year. There's no excuse for this guy to take years to make this and him calling it a full release while leaving so many little things unfinished is pathetic. For those of you that weren't paying attention during early access he always had a new excuse as to why he'd blow a deadline then there'd be complete radio silence for the next year until he'd push out an update. None of the updates should have taken two years. He should have hired someone to help if he was struggling so much. tl;dr: decent indie game if you're into Junji Ito, but not worth $20. Buy it and enjoy, but find some people to play call of cthulhu with while you wait for a sale.
i really love this game, but unfortunately i cannot recommend this game for few reasons 1. game has stopped on version 1.01 and i dont think it will get any updates soon 2. game is 100% rng based, so most "mistakes" and game losses feel like it isn't even your fault 3. there aren't many mysteries after you get to know all of them 4. start of the game feel like "reroll your mysteries untill you get ones without boss fights at the end of them" 5. fighting kind of feel empty, or it just might be my skill issue, because it's mostly "dodge, prep, attack, repeat" (for me at least) so, i said that i love this game, so now i'll tell reasons why 1. artstyle is amazing 2. mysteries feel really immersive if you're doing them for the first time 3. i love the fact that this game is kind of rouge-like because from doing achievements you unlock more content 4. i just like to turn on game, turn on one round that will last less than 1 hour and have fun 5. UI feels really complicated if you're watching someone playing this but in reality this UI is very simple 6. i feel like i have still A LOT to do after 20 hours of playing (i have 33% of achievements) so, that being said my biggest issue with this game are no updates and heavy relying on rng so i will change this review after this game gets an update that will satisfy me
I was gifted this game back in 2023, before the "update announcement" in 2024, and there's no radical improvement. This game is UNFINISHED and "abandoned", I'm hopeful the developer will update it, but after their newest announcement (releasing overpriced merch, no info about updates) it looks to me like they're milking the visuals and who knows where that money goes. It's a shame because it has beautiful aesthetics and potential, if you're a fan of old tech games and Junji Ito, maybe look a gameplay - I'd advise you to stay away for the time being. The community does make lovely workshops though.
Last actual game update was October 25 2023, and to come back after all that time just to offer a lot of low effort merch just doesn't sit well. They say there are more updates coming, but more effort went on merch than on the game itself. I'd wait for them to prove they have anything of substance before considering picking this up at all.
Just read the other reviews, very disappointing dev.
Do I like unfinished, open-ended mysteries? NO It certainly has room for improvement and some graphics could be polished to display what was given to us in the trailers. However, I can't seem to find a game that replaces World of Horror. I'll wait for any updates. In the mean time, I'll try looking for something new. UPDATE: Been waiting for the update that's been promised to us. It's also out of Early Access.......
