Wordfright is the typical Hangman game with a twist. In this game you are solving typical Hangman puzzles while slowly being lowered over a bunch of circular saws. If you do not solve all the puzzles in time, you become mincemeat. Also an evil puppet is scurrying around trying to get you killed. You can click on the puppet to drive him away. There are around 10 categories of words to choose from, and you must solve 5 of the categories (levels) in order to unlock a 3 minute stealth minigame with the chasing evil puppet to finally win the game. + The concept is interesting + The game is cheap - There is no adventure in this game, 99% of the game is solving Hangman puzzles on a strict time frame. - The puzzles on medium and hard are too difficult to solve with the given time limit. Too tense and difficult to actually have any real fun. Overall: 5/10
I discovered this game from Dawko's youtube channel and just had to pick it up for myself. Hangman was my FAVORITE game as a kid that I used to beg people to play all the time in my little journal or my whiteboard, so this game really bought me back. The concept is really cool, the fact that you morbidly play as the man being hung, and have to juggle other tasks whilst solving the hangman puzzle further clouding your judgement makes for a really satisfying gameplay loop. This is a small detail, but I do like that the player calls out the letters as you type them. It adds to the immersion of a genuine hangman game you'd play with other people that would be missing if the player was silent. I don't care too much for the mascot personally, he's silly but not super necessary. I think the hangman portion stands well on its own. :3 I can't wait to make my dyslexic friend play this with me and watch them die every 5 seconds.

I mean I can't say I didn't get what I payed for, games literally spelled out for you in all the promotional material. It's Hangman with some extra bells and whistles and a funky little dude in a Noose who want's you Ground into a fine Sausage. They tried to make it more engaging by having him spawn in your room sometimes and making you look around to click on him when you see/hear the queue, but it's not difficult to find him and I found it more annoying than anything else. Still, for 3 Bones you can't really go wrong with it, plenty of categories and the ability to create your own. Not Bad.
Keeps crashing when I try to load into the game :( game looks rlly fun though! edit: devs responded and fixed issue :)
Very fun game! Intense and difficult, and I still wanna play around with the custom word assortment feature!
Even on easier difficulties it was still very hard. Setting everything on normal settings didnt really help with the game performance either it could use with some tweaks. Really unfortunate I had good expectations for this game its unfortunate that i didnt like it as much. IT HAS A CUTE MASCOT IM SO SAD
I've never played hangman like this! It was really quite good. I played it on stream and my audience had a wonderful time playing with me. This does a great job at turning hangman into an engaging, interactive game. It's not as one-dimensional as you think a hangman game would be. The core of it is hangman, but there is more you have to do to progress. Give it a try. It's fun, especially with a party/stream.
Honestly i love this game so much i had a blast playing it with my family and friends and the gameplay with the monster and generator is so fluid as well and the gameplay has been really thought of here like even when you pause the game it hides the worded prompt to discourage cheating and other ways to add depth to this simple concept like hangman. IF YOU LOVE HANGMAN AND LOVE BEING PUT ON PRESSURE THIS GAME IS FOR YOU and it is very cheap very worth it especially playing with friends and others as well (also you can create your own custom hangman levels as well which is a neat touch) very slept on game
