KOSTENLOS
After 3/25 update: I turned my thumbs down to thumbs up because I feel like there is a lot more polish going on, especially with regard to flipping back and forth between different version. Still not the smoothest experience, but definitely better! Need more translations! :-D But I like this for what it is. Suggestions for improvements: - I see that if the book is not available in the translation that I am clicking to, the error message comes up. Is there any way to grey out translations where they are not available for the book selected? - Do the old and new testaments have to be separated out? I like the complete version addition, but I am just thinking about minimizing clicking for the end user. Maybe a toggle switch? Thank you for your hard work on this program and accepting the feedback. I look forward to the next update! Hawaiian Pigeon is my new favorite language translation. 💖 After 3/7 update: 3/7 Update: 🥳 New UI! I have to admit, I love the aesthetic, and the deuterocannon is there now! You still have to go find the books you are looking to read by going translation version verse first, which gets annoying. 😖Again, I recommend flipping these options, so that someone who wants to read any particular book of the bible opens the book they want and THEN selects the version. This is where the lack of polish still shows. If it helps: there is a philosophy of minimal clicks. Can you arrange your UI so that the user finds what they are looking for with as few clicks as possible (3 or less is the standard)? I think this will make the program hit the next level. Either I didn't see it before or it's new, but there is also links to Christian radio and preaching. Not necessarily what I'm looking for, but I guess it's nice to have, given the evangelizing nature of the program. Nothing good or bad to say about it, other than it overlaps the language selection on my display. I am still not recommending it despite the UI update, though I had to think about it a little longer than last time. Looking forward to the next update! Original review: If you are looking for a bible reader, there are better ones available. If you are looking for a typing program, there are better ones available. That said, this isn't a bad product or idea. I'm not trying to slam the developer - I actually hope that they can improve upon this program. Here's my feedback: - The interface is wonky. It may make more sense to allow users to select through books of the bible as the key, and then click through the various translations (the way it is set up now is in reverse). - I love that you have deuterocanon as a placeholder (I assume its a placeholder, since they are all blank). This is probably the most interesting feature of your program, since most Bible readers I've seen only have the traditional Protestant cannon. I would expand on this and make it your priority to include these. - It may be helpful to have other apocrypha as well. Again, this is something I don't see in other readers that would be nice to see in this one. - The interface in general lacks polish - it LOOKS like you released a test and are making improvements. I would recommend spending a lot of time on the polish that would make reading the Bible from your app a nice experience. - The Typing feature is nice, but I would focus on other aspects of your app first, since it seems like access to the Bible is the primary focus. And to people considering picking up this app - look, I spent 10 minutes on it, and the only reason I gave it a thumbs down was because I think it's not as good as it could be yet. I recommend picking this app anyway and supporting the developer with encouraging comments - it seems like they want to put out good work. I hope to see improvements in the future, and will be watching this!
Word2 is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, Word2 is a software application that it's an e-book reader for one version of the Bible. Yes, the developer is trying to get famous off the back of exploiting religion by dumping the Bible on Steam as if it's a game. What does the bible say about using the Lord for the purpose of your own vanity? Oops. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". This has misleadingly been launched in the "Games" section of Steam instead of the "Software" section. This is a common mistake for developers who are new to Steam, or don't understand the difference between games and software which isn't a game. It seems this software published incorrectly as a game is simply lack of experience/knowledge of the correct process. Here's a link for the process to publish non-game software on Steam: Steam Developer Help With Software Publishing It's unfortunate this process was not known about/followed, resulting in a software application being published in the wrong place. Publishing things which aren't games on Steam in the Games section as games is misleading to gamers and somewhat harmful, because it pollutes the Steam marketplace and takes away visibility and market exposure for genuine game developers who do the right thing and make games for gamers. There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers.

If you want to work on your typing and spend time with the Lord, this is a great game. Reading and then writing out the Bible is a great way to impress the Word on your spirit.
bugged maybe? ill give it a day or two, try again and change my review if applicable. Can't see or type anything.
It's like the original Word, but now it has more versions of the Bible and even foreign language translations. It would be a massive undertaking if someone were to type it all! I do wish there was cloud saving like the original Word, especially with all of the translations and versions you can type.
