Good game! The art is beautiful, the environments have great atmosphere and music complements the game really well, it's a short game but has some re-playability quality to gather collectibles.
Me encantó!!
10/10 Precisa de uma sequência urgente
When people say, "I've already got so many games. Why buy new ones when I can work through my backlog?", this is the result. I was hesitant to even install this at first because it looked like malware disguised as eurojank. Even so, I thought it might scratch that American McGee's Alice itch, only with an edgy take on Snow White. The edge, though. It's so relentlessly forced that it starts sounding like a bad joke on repeat. Snow White spends the game masquerading as Batman, spinning some forgettable tale about a city gone bad and an unsolved murder. Thankfully, the game shows a rare moment of mercy by letting you skip the "I AM JUSTICE, I AM ALONE" monologue cutscenes entirely. Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries is one of those games I'm grateful never became a franchise. It ends on a lame jump-scare cliffhanger that, eleven years later, still hasn't gone anywhere. I'm sure that was a delight for the Kickstarter backers. I can only hope they're satisfied knowing this is where their money went. In the end, it's a janky, buggy, painfully edgy game. Thankfully, all I lost was about an hour of my time, and my backlog is one game thinner than it was before.

Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries is a dark fantasy platforming adventure that takes inspiration from the classic Little Red Riding Hood tale and reshapes it into a far more mature and sinister story. Developed and published by GriN Gamestudio, the game abandons the cheerful innocence of the original fairy tale and instead presents a world consumed by greed, industrial expansion, and hidden conspiracies. By blending action-platforming gameplay with a revenge-driven narrative, Woolfe attempts to offer players a unique interpretation of familiar folklore while delivering a visually striking journey through a corrupted fairy-tale universe. The story centers on Red, portrayed not as a helpless child but as a determined heroine seeking answers about the mysterious death of her father. Her investigation leads her into conflict with powerful figures connected to the influential Woolfe corporation, a company whose reach extends throughout the kingdom. The narrative explores themes of corruption, exploitation, and the consequences of unchecked ambition, giving the game a darker tone than most fairy-tale adaptations. While the plot follows a relatively straightforward path, it succeeds in maintaining curiosity through its gradual revelations and the mystery surrounding the forces controlling the world. One of the game's strongest aspects is its visual presentation. The environments are filled with imaginative details that merge fairy-tale charm with industrial machinery. Forests, villages, factories, and underground locations each possess their own identity, helping the world feel larger than the adventure's relatively short length might suggest. The art direction consistently creates an atmosphere that is both enchanting and unsettling, perfectly matching the game's narrative themes. Character designs also contribute to the unique aesthetic, presenting familiar fairy-tale archetypes through a darker and more stylized lens. Gameplay combines traditional side-scrolling platforming with light combat mechanics. Red uses her axe to battle enemies, perform combos, and overcome obstacles while navigating a variety of environmental hazards. Combat is easy to learn and provides enough variety to remain entertaining throughout most of the adventure, though it never becomes especially deep or complex. Platforming sequences require timing and observation, and occasional puzzle elements help diversify the experience. The game focuses on accessibility rather than difficulty, making it approachable for players who are more interested in the story and atmosphere than demanding gameplay systems. The pacing remains one of Woolfe's strengths. New environments and story developments appear frequently enough to prevent the experience from feeling repetitive. The game avoids unnecessary distractions and keeps players focused on Red's quest for answers. This streamlined approach ensures that the narrative remains the centerpiece of the adventure while still providing enough gameplay variety to maintain engagement from beginning to end. Despite its many positive qualities, the game does have shortcomings. Combat encounters can become repetitive because of the limited range of enemy types and abilities. Some platforming sections occasionally suffer from control issues or awkward camera angles that may lead to frustration. The biggest disappointment, however, lies in the story's conclusion. Due to the troubled circumstances surrounding the studio's closure, several narrative threads feel incomplete, leaving players with unanswered questions and the sense that the larger story was meant to continue beyond the game's ending. The sound design effectively supports the atmosphere. Music shifts between whimsical melodies and darker compositions depending on the situation, reinforcing the contrast between fantasy and danger that defines the game's world. Voice acting and sound effects further strengthen immersion, helping characters and environments feel more alive. While the audio may not be the most memorable aspect of the experience, it consistently enhances the mood without overshadowing other elements. What ultimately makes Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries worth experiencing is its ambition. It takes a universally recognized fairy tale and transforms it into a visually rich action adventure filled with mystery, revenge, and social commentary. Although some gameplay systems lack depth and the story feels unfinished in places, the game's unique atmosphere, creative world-building, and compelling protagonist leave a lasting impression. It stands as an intriguing example of how classic folklore can be reinvented for a modern audience while maintaining enough originality to feel distinct. Rating: 7/10
