Wolfsong is a story-rich experience detailing how a simple mistake can be the beginning of immense and terrible things. The heroes will attempt to stop a great war that could plague the land for generations. Heavily inspired by classic rpgs from the snes era and attempts to pay homage to them in many ways.

So I just finished this game and absolutely loved it! The characters were super endearing and the world is beautiful and fleshed out. I normal start getting bored with doing extra exploring and just start moving through the story as quick as possible but with this game i really enjoyed slowing down and going around the world and interacting with the npcs and finding treasure chest. Also I thought the combat system was fun and different enough to be unique. I kinda tend to be a hoarder and a tank and spank kinda guy when it comes to turn based games, but in this game i felt like the strongest way to fight was also the most fun, which isn't always the case imo. Use your strong expensive abilities and use mana regen abilities and items to keep going. I do agree with the other reviews however about the story ending abruptly. It wasnt even the length of the game that was the issue, it was more like It felt like you were just really getting into the meat of the story(which i was really enjoying) and the final scene kinda feels like the scene where you were supposed to be introduced to the final boss. and be like okay this is the guy im suppose to hate for the rest of the game, but its the final confrontation. Even still for $1.50 you get a bunch of game with endearing characters, a beautiful well built world, and fun engaging combat. super worth it if you are into these types of games at all.
Fun little old style rpg, in which you find the lore you should be familiar with if you played Lorestrome's flash games. It ties up the different story lines into an interesting new story. The graphics are great (unless you dislike pixel art). There is no tutorial or menu to find out or edit the controls, but they are very easy to use, once you find which key (X) gives you access to your inventory, the other controls are the usual ones (arrows/space/enter).
This is quite a surprise to me. I know this game looked different but the sheer amount of effort put into this game is just DANG. This may have even dethroned Dreamscape as my most beloved RPGmaker title... EXCEPT for the fact the game's finale seems a little rushed. The final boss is a little on the difficult side, but the more innate issue is that (as far as I can tell) once you get into the final dungeon you can no longer walk out of it. This is kind of annoying since there are lots of side dungeons that you have no real hope of beating until right before the final dungeon. The problem is that you have no control over your party layout until right before the final boss... which makes the entire thing feel just a tiny bit off. Either way this game NEEDS more recognition. Either he custom made several dozen sprites for the game or he's using a set from the prebuilt assets that I'll be honest I've NEVER seen anyone use before. The way there are so many species interacting with each other in this is kind of super intriguing pulling you into it. Heck there is not even a single enemy recolor in the entire game, not including the slimes though! How many rpgs can you say that over?
I have to choose thumbs down for now. I can not get this to run in full screen mode, alt+enter puts it in full screen but the screen is black with what looks like a small version of the game running in the top left corner. I'm running Win7 Pro with an nVidia TitanX970. I've posted in the forums but it seems the dev is unresponsive. I will change my recommendation if the dev fills me in on how to get it to run normally.
Linear-style RPG with a great plot that develops over the course of the game. Only complaint I have is that I did feel the game could've required a little more time, but overall, the game was well-made. Considering the developer, that is no surprise, and since it is only his first game developed for the Steam client, I expect other great projects in the future, too.
Short classic RPG. Simple graphics and gameplay. Worth getting if a part of any bundle

I very much enjoy this game. The game comes up in full screen for me, and I have had no problems so far. I can go anywhere on the map at any time, which I like. I also love the graphics and the way the battles are done. Thanks, developers !!
Tags: Topdown - RPGMaker&PartyRPG Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Insufficiently playtested. Becomes hard to balance grind against limited ressources as you are trapped in small rpgmaker dungeon. The heavy handedness of the tone aside, this is a rather difficult game in which you must carefully balance grinding against limited ressources and low health in a race to level up to be strong enough to beat the location's boss and be allowed to go further. It is not very fun as if you overgrind you can trap yourself in a corner, without a rest feature, an ability to heal or the freedom to travel can leave you stuck. That happened to me a few times early game promping me to abandon play for now. I may revisit the game later. It has some deviantart grade custom assets, some minor animation work and a faintly interesting setting about ratpeople invading some kind of viking people. Altogether I have better RPGMaker games to try and this is firmly subpar in comparison. Especially when most of them can have a female character without turning it into a dog and pony show. https://store.steampowered.com/app/440540/Ara_Fell/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/818610/The_Great_Gaias/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/256460/Cosmic_Star_Heroine/
