Wolf and The Warren

Wolf and The Warren is a short, steamy AVN with a nearly completely black-and-white color scheme, which is very unique for a visual novel — but I actually really liked it. The story is very simple: the wolfgirl's car breaks down, and she has to stop at a motel owned by a bunnygirl — and well, they get closer to each other during the night. The highlight is definitely the art, and I really appreciated that there is background music and sound effects even during the sex scene. And yes, it's scene singular — but the scene is honestly pretty hot, which is not always the case with AVNs. What I disliked is that there is no settings menu, so you can't adjust the volume in the game or change the text speed, for example. But since it's such a short experience — 30 to 60 minutes at most — it doesn't really matter that much. If the store screenshots look good to you, then you'll most likely enjoy the experience. My biggest gripe would really just be the price, as it's rather expensive. But since it's at least all hand-drawn, I'm willing to give them some leeway on that. Overall, not bad at all. An amateur work in every aspect. If it was mine, I'd be ashamed to take money for it. Technically, it lacks any quality of life features, like text speed options, or, well, ANY options. It seems to be the creator's first shot at making a visual novel. This would be forgivable if other aspects made up for it, but, alas, they don't. Art is the best part, even though it is almost exclusively monochrome, with only a couple colored sprites. There's a lot of it for such a short novel, end even a handful of animations, but it would look better as a 4 pages long comic. Text is absolutely basic. The characters get no, well, character (which is important for a visual novel), we learn almost nothing about them, as they only have a short dialogue before moving on to sex. That part takes most of the novel, and is absolutely cliche. The whole thing is as touching and sensual as bashing two plastic dolls together, while screaming, in all caps, "OH MY GOD! HHNNGGG!". I hate leaving a negative review to a solo indie developer's project, but I can't recommend it in good conscience either, unless you really want to support the artist, or are really really into this specific genre of erotica.

"Wolf and The Warren" (or The Wolf and The Warren) is a short and sweet kinetic visual novel from gamedev studio DPAD Games. We play as Sam Bane, a young, gorgeous and exceptionally well-built wolf girl. She travels across the country to take on the sweet career opportunity, but her car break down in the middle of nowhere. In search of shelter and the mechanic, she wanders about and stumbles upon nice and cozy hotel called The Warren. Manager of this hotel, young bunny girl Kylie, welcomes Sam and invites her to have a rest in one of the rooms for tonight. And outside, the huge storm is about to hit, so that's more reasons to take cover and wait for it to pass until the morning. After meeting Kylie, Sam got a feeling that this night will be long and full of surprises. And sure enough, later on it turns out she was right. + At some points need to click on stuff to advance; + High quality arts of characters and environments; + HOT "action scene" (well, scenes, actually, but they follow one other during a single night); + Sound design is OK (background music, noice of the storm, different sounds during the "action scene"). - Amount of swear words in the dialogues (later into the game during the "action scene") could be smaller. Just my thought. - The story feels kinda short. I finished the game in 45 minutes, and I took my time, not skipping dialogues or something like that. For its price, I just expected the game to be a bit longer, I guess. But nevertheless, it's a nice little game that is worth trying.

i mean ♥♥♥♥ man, my steam profile says i will play literally anything and i can't be falsely advertising i'd give it a neutral rec if i could. it's extremely short, could've used some extra time fluffing up the characters' personalities and interactions more but NSFW games are always a 80/20 chance of getting literally any meaningful character interactions at all outside of jumping each other, so what's there is nice. art's beautiful tho so i'll err on the positive rec side, 10/10 presentation on your gay furry porn bestie

A short VN of having an unfortunate car breakdown in the middle of the woods that leads to a fortunate night with a bunny. The story is fine for what it is and it has a fair bit of art behind it. The story could have been longer and fleshed the 2 leads out a bit more but I liked what was here. Hopefully there is a sequel that does so and for what this give I'd be comfortable saying it's worth $3 but I'm happy with what I paid for it at launch.

Bon, souvent quand on me propose des jeux sur Steam, c'est à 99% du hentai, on va pas se mentir, c'est malheureusement souvent ce qu'il se passe quand on ouvre sa curation a des jeux vidéos. D'ailleurs, souvent, c'est du sale, mais c'est un autre débat. Ici, on m'a proposé The Wolf and the Warren, et cela se passe plutôt pas mal. C'est une histoire toute mignonne, un peu dans la veine de Run Kitty, avec plein de bons sentiments, des petites scenettes mignonnes (et parfois hardcore, hein, c'est quand même un Visual Novel Hentai) Vous rencontrerez donc Sam, qui tombe en rade de bagnole dans la forêt, et qui tombe (comme par hasard) sur un hotel (the warren) et ce dernier est totalement vide. A part Kylie, qui s'était dit: et si je jouais la receptionniste un peu chaude pour ramener les clients ? Bien joué Kylie, tu as gagné la muscle mommy de passage aka Sam ! Bon, on va pas dire qu'on joue au jeu uniquement pour le scénario, ce serait mentir, mais, je vous assure qu'en fait, on aurait presque envie d'en savoir plus. Oui, le jeu est hyper court pour son prix, mais les situations sont mignonnes, et surtout, là, pas d'apologie malsaine, les protagonistes sont majeurs, consentants, amoureux, et ça, et bah ça fait du bien ! Je vous conseille donc, si vous aimez les petits jeux sympa et bien fichus, et qui vous donnent envie de finir au fond d'un lit avec votre moitié, de jouer à ce petit jeu... (mais un peu cher, pour le temps de gameplay quand même, ça dépassera pas les 1 h 30 hélas)

I am leaving a positive review of this game solely because it's a furry-made, NSFW visual novel - and those deserve praise in and of itself for merely existing, it's simply art. The characters have unconventional body types and the black and white noir-like artstyle in some of the scenes is visually appealing. Has lesbian sex in it, so very awesome cool. [b] However, [/b] The game's writing needs a lot of touch-ups grammatically and sentence flow wise. I understand that this is a somewhat interactable porno, but there are lots of missing commas and spelling errors. Hell, one of the very last sentences someone says is spelled wrong. [spoiler] Sam says "ficion writer" [/spoiler] The main rabbit girl is also confusing. [spoiler] In contrast to most things about the characters being explicitly stated or visually implied, I have no idea if Kylie is plural (multiple personalities) or if she binds her chest during the day and uses Kyle instead of Kylie? I have no idea what is being represented here and it feels like there's a lot of questions the writer makes the reader ask, then will never answer them. [/spoiler] There isn't a settings menu for the game to turn the music off or other sound adjustments, you just get what you get. I'm unsure if that's an engine problem; I assume this isn't made in Ren'py since making a settings menu in that engine is really quite easy. You can experience this whole game in under the steam refund time window and, unless you really plan on rubbing one out to the scenes at some point, I would almost recommend you do that.
