I really wanted to like this game. I saw the complaints about it being too simple and thought I would move past it and figured it was the "turn your brain off" simple. And it was! But..it crossed the line for me. I personally hate how the majority of the mechanics were luck based. The only thing I could control was which plants to grow and what potions to try risk making. Even then, I had to GUESS what plants to grow based on my supplies and what I THINK guests would ask for unless I was late on potions. And I could only give a potion to the guy that approves me selling them ONCE a day. Because of this loop most of my money went to multiple soil patches until I realized minerals and special materials were ONLY LUCK BASED. Either getting lucky at the merchant or the once a day gatherings. I only played an hour and felt I couldn't keep up. I COULDN'T turn my brain off. I felt silly getting mad at these mechanics until I remembered the price. I lucked out and got it on sale BUT THE FULL PRICE IS DOUBLE. It made me so unreasonably mad I quit after an hour after discovering the achievement board. To me it feels like a slightly higher quality mobile game that latches onto luck for 80% of the gameplay. I understand some things like the merchant, random clients and their orders, and the random witches that can show up. BUT MAKING 2/3RDS OF YOUR POTION MATERIALS LUCK BASED FEELS RIDICULOUS. Maybe it's me having bad luck or maybe there's an upgrade I either missed or didn't unlock, but for how expensive the upgrades can be I felt like I couldn't even pause to look. Maybe that's my fault but it stills feels like the price of the game isn't worth it. ESPECIALLY the full price. If there's more to the game then that's on me, but I'm so off put by the start I can't recommend. I hope more can be put into it like more interesting dialogue, a more hooking plot (if there is one then make it show up or even just hinted at sooner in an eye catching way), or even just better mechanics that don't make me question if I just bought an expensive mobile game. I feel bad leaving this review but I just had to be honest and let others know if you don't like luck, random chance, or guesswork mechanics embedded in basic necessary gameplay, then this isn't the game for you. Personal note: Am I the only one who thought the thief's animation and sequence of defense against her look straight out of a mobile ad? This isn't a complaint or to talk bad about the game, it just especially bothered me and was one of the many things that took me out the game because it reminded me of a mobile ad.
This plays very much like an unfinished demo than a full game. There is no momentum and the game cycles through the same few tracks, which are generic and not fun to listen to after 15 minutes of playing. A lot of the requests are stale, using a mouse for the enchanting puzzle signs is guaranteed to mess up somewhere, and there's no character development. The art is cute but feels hollow and unmemorable at the same time. This game does not feel rewarding to play and maybe the gameplay was diluted so it can be a "cozy" game, but it ends up being an extremely boring and stale game.
Stirring potions absolutely sucks, and makes no sense. Even on cozy mode it's ridiculous. I've had potions that should have been 5 stars drop down because the mechanics for stirring are horrible. The devs put in an ADHD and Autism option to minimize repeating SFX and turns off alarms, but they failed to overlook dexterity. I'm 50/50 with recommending the game. I recommend it for people who don't have dexterity issues, and I don't recommend it for people with dexterity issues.
carried by the gorgeous art and animations. the game really needs a) an actual ending or b) less repetitive endgame gameplay
спокойная и милая игра, самое то для того, чтобы расслабиться
nice visual very nice music liked the characters overall cozy and cute
It does hurt to give this a negative review, but hear me out. Pros: Phenomenal art and character design Easy to grasp Cons: Very little story Witch NPCs have no depth Potion stirring minigame is Jank Rune drawing on both the cursing and poisoning is jank Sub 10 hours of gameplay Repetitive gameplay with very little expansion, The game at the beginning doesn't change much from endgame. Like someone else said, this plays a LOT like a demo, buy it on sale if you're really interested.
Ótimo passatempo, arte linda e com certeza a gameplay é muito fluida. Vale a pena pra quem gosta de joguinhos cozy. Gosto do desenvolvimento dos bruxos mas acho que poderia ter ainda mais
This is such a cute game! The music and art is fantastic, and the mechanics are easy to learn. I will say that it does lack a story, and you don't get to know the other characters in-depth. The gameplay is more focused on the processes of running the shop, fulfilling witchy orders, and gradually getting upgrades that make it all run smoother. I was able to 'complete' the game in about 5 hours on standard mode, so it's not a beefy game by any means. But it's fun and relaxing, and completing the achievements has kept me coming back.
