Pretty creepy game. The game lacks some guidance after your husband leaves for the day, so there's a lot of trial and error involved. I'm not sure how to stop the witch taking your child as I could not find the yellow Tabatha's. I'm sure they exist, but I did not find them in my 2 hours of searching. Art style is great and the music really adds to it Walking distance between houses is a pain in the ass, the map is ever so slightly too big for what you're actually doing. The young woman's house has no collision, you can just walk straight through it. Ultimately I got 4 endings, but none of them I would consider good. If the developer or other players could help, I'd love to see more of the endings.
Great indie horror with a wonderful sense of atmosphere. I'm looking forward to trying to get every ending and exploring everything this game has to offer. Really cool stuff. Loved the voice acting!
I had the most haunting time playing this game, the atmosphere was palpable, I had no idea what on earth I was doing, but I enjoyed just existing trying to shush the damn baby throughout the extreme conditions. This game will probably live rent free in my nightmares
I am excited to say I am now changing my review from negative to POSITIVE!! Well done, dev! I originally had issues with player speed, sense of direction, a consistently crying baby that need it comforting constantly, and a few other minor bugs and issues. The dev read my previous review and fixed all concerns in an impressive quality of life update! The game is definitely something that wasn't rushed, and, after watching a 30 minute micro-documentary on the dev's trip to Salem, I can say the dev put a lot of work into this game. The voice acting, setting, game play mechanics, story, choices, and sense of the unknown had me very invested in what I was getting myself into. With 15 endings to achieve, the game rewards curiosity and exploration. I only have 5 endings unlocked but look forward to discovering all my unchosen paths. Here is a game made out of passion which always shines brightly in a crowded market of 100s of uninspiring horror games. Way to stand out!
A decent horror game with great voice acting and good design choices here and there but it can be bit confusing at times and the map layout was pretty plain in my opinion. This was an alright horror game however and if you are looking for something decent then I would recommend https://youtu.be/tdJS3UvEYwA
Creepy assed game. I was not expecting this level of scare factor, and i'm only a few stories in.. seriously beware if you have a heart condition or can't handle ass-puckering scares. I can see this game being cherished by the pewediepie streamer types. This is indie retro horror hidden-gem/gold at its best!
This is a fun horror experience that you can start over a couple of times to get different endings and play different scenarios.
I believe I played through all the scenarios (unless some didn't have achievements) and it's fun to do things a little bit differently. The game won't be for everyone. It doesn't hold your hand (which I think is a strong point) but others might view it as frustrating. The voice acting is surprisingly good! For $5 you can't really go wrong here
Beautiful game, truly. I highly recommend watching the dev's video about making the game(after you've played a bit). As a small game maker, that video and this game have been very inspirational. A bit spolier-y: If you aren't the curious sort, it can be a bit of a slog to get through because the game is not very clear on what you need to do. For instance, the first time I played I played my character as a devout Christian woman who would not dare go through her husband's journal. I spent my first playthrough(roughly 15 minutes) wandering around and the waiting for my husband to return. I did nothing to affect the witch and when we went to bed she came for us. Back in real life, I told my real life husband about my experience and he said "Oh did you deliver the eggs to the old woman?" What??? He told me that if you read the husband's journal it tells you about an egg delivery, and other details. I actually really enjoy this aspect of the game. This lead to me attempting to turn over every stone in the game, so to speak. It's a short and beautiful game. The visuals are interesting, enjoyable. The real beauty of the game comes from it's encouragement to turn the puzzle over and over trying to figure out all its secrets.
if you like waiting forever and wandering around a map with barely any landmarks that you can barely see anything in even at daytime, then you might enjoy this game
Great music and story, recommended. A good indie to start this year
