Such an amazing combo of Lovecraftian horror, deckbuilding, and all atop the 100 Acre Woods gang (Winnie the Pooh and co.).
I dont know if i recommend this game yet. It's really nice and the aesthetic is TOP NOTCH. It's a bit overwhelming at first , especially if you are not familiar with roguelikes. The developer of the game knows what he is doing and the game is in a really good road but right now the runs are bit short and there is a lack of bosses and elites. From what i 've seen there are already huge patches and based on the developers previous game he interacts with the community and delivers what they ask. Can't wait to see this game in its final form. (I've played much more in offline mode and demo)
More glorious Roguelite! With Winnie becoming public domain, I'm glad this game understood that rather than going for sheer edge, the idea of a sweet bear turning into a beast should be treated as something absurdly FUNNY rather than... whatever the "Blood and Honey" movie did. It's also just fun to go from tactical play to develop into a thrashing beast, throwing nerve blocks around to flow over the opposition as a rather polite version of The Thing.
Back when I played the demo, this game was a promising one. A lot have changed, lost the Winnie-the-Poo appeal by changing names and events, and even the mechanics seem less interesting, less break-the-gamey. Quite a letdown, to be honest. The beta rework feels better. It is more enjoyable now, but the game needs to communicate what is happening a little better. The UI needs some work. But I could almost recommend it now, but a lot of the fights are still very tedious, with not having enough damage, and opponents having a lot of life. You might not take any damage but the fights will go on and on... Damage needs to be buffed or enemies life needs to be less. I have only seen 2 bosses so far, for each regions. I would assume there are more than that. But cannot verifiy, would love to know.
Love it. Wish the runs were longer but it's great
This is an amazing idea well executed. A tetris style deckbuilder themed around horror and mutation? Amazing. Well done.
The game is still in Early Access, which shows, but... it's fun. A bit whacky here and there and some starting specs/abilities are less balanced than others, but that makes the run variations fun puzzles to figure out. Right now, there are 12 starting variations and for each you can get to 2 different endings, so 24 ends to try and get to. (And more to come, because early access and they stated as such) Tons of weird and fun combinations are possible. It is rather Perk oriented with little incentive to try and get more mutations, meaning many battles you'll just go for the few mutations you actually want to use.
C'est le plus beau cadeau de saint valentin qu'on ne m'a jamais offert ♥
