Answer the call of the seas and move seamlessly between ship and shore. Naval combat is shaped by your decisions, whether you’re trading cannon fire at range or closing in for fierce boarding actions. Equip and customize your ship to suit your playstyle, from nimble ketch to versatile brig and monstrous frigate. And when the cannons go silent, claim your spoils and share a sea shanty with your crew as you sail onward.
Establish a foothold in vibrant, diverse biomes, gather resources, and build to your own taste, from simple shelters to elaborate mansions and fully developed forts. Recruit NPCs and grow your settlement to speed up harvesting and production.
This world belongs to the brave and the curious, so venture into the uncharted lands. Over 100 hand-crafted dungeons and points of interest contain endless secrets and treasures, though such rewards rarely come without risk. Trade with different factions to gain the edge you’ll need.
Hack, slash, batter, and shoot your way forward! Master a wide arsenal of melee weapons and firearms. Parry and dodge enemy attacks, chain different strikes, and keep an eye out for new gear, including sabers, rapiers, halberds, greatswords, pistols, muskets, and more.
Shape your combat style through talents and flexible loadouts with unique armor sets. Use food and potions to gain powerful buffs. Test your skills against a wide range of enemies and challenging bosses, defeat them, and claim their treasures.
Windrose is fully playable solo offline or in co-op with friends, supporting up to 8 players, with both self-hosted and dedicated servers available. Procedural generation will make each journey stand out. Please note: due to performance, especially in the late game, we recommend to play in the party up to 4 players for the optimal experience.

Eh. The combat is ok i guess? I just felt like it was overall kind of a disjointed experience where the loops didnt seamlessly blend enough. Cool vibes but it also still felt strangely kind of empty and boring. Not a bad game by any means, just not worth a buy in a very saturated survival crafting genre.

another waste of time this game does not feel even kind of good to play.
This game suddenly crash and reboot pc out of no where!
There's nothing piratey about this game. You don't rob merchants, you don't steal ships, you don't steal anything at all. You don't do ANYTHING that would ern you the title of Pirate. Since the world building is built on the idea that Blackbeard commands a hoard of the dead, you don't end up robbing the British or the Spanish, you're fighting Blackbeard's hordes... So you're a pirate hunter? There's 'pirate' factions in the game, but even they don't do anything remotely piratey, they kinda just band together as some form of republic against Blackbeard, which isn't exactly piratey is it? I know that a pirate republic existed in the real world, but at least that was made up of real pirates doing pirate things. The building is top notch, 10/10 the sailing is great, the shanties, the world is pretty, that's all great, it's just missing the main ingredient. PIRACY Even Skull and Bones does a better job at being a pirate game and that's saying something because that game is trash compared to this. So as for now, it's a no from me, but i'm more than happy to change my rating once they add PIRACY to their pirate game
When the developers made this game, they must have asked themselves, **"How can we make this as annoying as possible?"** I've played for **4 hours** and I'm only **level 2**. You'd think I'd be past fighting dodo birds by now, but apparently my character is too weak and too stupid to kill a common housefly. This isn't even an adventure game—it's a **running simulator**. Running back to your body because you die every five minutes. And don't even get me started on **stamina**. Sure, it recharges quickly... but literally everything costs **25%** of your stamina. * Want to dodge? There goes 25%. * Want to attack? Another 25%. * Want to swing again? Too bad—you're exhausted. Instead of feeling like I'm getting stronger, I just feel weak all the time. At this rate, if I keep playing for the next **10 years**, I might finally reach **level 10** and be strong enough to take on **two dodo birds** at the same time. What a joke. I really wish I hadn't spent the money on this game.
The combat is dull, and excessively punishing. Every, and I do mean every, enemy is capable of two shotting you, if not flat out 1 shotting. This might not be an issue if there was any way to effectively predict when they will hit you. But there isn't. The enemies seem to consistently stagger every time you hit them, except if they just so happened to queue up an attack that makes them immune to being staggered. How can you tell the when they do that? You can't, their attack animations look identical up until its too late. So the most effective strategy is to simply walk away from the enemy and bait them into trying to hit, then when they miss, attack them back, and simply hope they don't immediately try to hit you with one their unstaggerable attacks before you can start running away from them again. The lack of consistent staggering might not be issue if blocking was useful. It isn't. You block two attacks before you drop your shield and stand still for 3 years while the enemy pounds away at you. It is only useful as a last measure from being hit. The only effective way to avoid damage is to run away. All of this mind you, in a game where you can only be hit by 2 attacks before you are downed. Now all of this, might not be an issue if the game didn't feel so insistent on making you pay for dying. There's practically no point to boarding whatsoever, because if you try to board you need to kill 5+ enemies, on a rinkydinky ship without enough room to run away, and the moment you die, you get sent back to you home base. At which point, your best option to continue, is to get on a tiny schooner, and sail for 10 to 15 minutes, just to get back to you ship and continue boarding. At which point every guy you just killed on their ship won't matter, and you'll need to restart the countdown. All because you simply got hit twice in quick succession by the enemy's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AI. Oh and by the way, you can't fast travel during this because ship combat is still on going. No, you need to sail from you homebase, not the nearest fast travel location. Land combat, as opposed to boarding combat has the exact opposite problem. You can place a bed literally anywhere (except your ship). So 100% of the time, you best option is to simply place down a bed, then throw yourself at the enemy 100 times as if you're Russian infantry in the second world war. They chose this absolutely awful combat system, instead of literally just giving you a little bit of extra health.
This is the best survival action game I have ever played. If you are a fan of Valheim, you will love this game. A wonderful combat system with different weapon and armor perks, a great attribute and "skill" point tree. Easy to understand and learn, but never dull. The building in this game is incredible and it rewards you for exploring. 115 hours in the game and I cannot get enough. Really looking forward to seeing what the future of this game brings!
Reskin de valheim avec les mêmes défauts. Combats terrestres à chier. Combats marins, on se fait chier.
