#1057
Wildlife Planet: The Incremental
Boi, that game! First of all, I want to slap whoever implemented this music into the game. Second, it is not possible to keep pressing the buy button, but I have to click it again and again. As an example, the glorious idle game "Cell of Singularity" allows this. The developers should learn from that game. Third, there is a problem with VSYNC and I did not find an option to solve it. Fourth, why do I have to start from zero every time I solved a mission? This game might be fun for a 5 year old girl, or maybe Koreans are into the cuteness of it, I dunno. But it is not for me and I cannot recommend it.

*游戏有ios/Android版本。
Wildlife Planet: The Incremental by CapPlay Interactive Inc. takes the familiar structure of an incremental idle game and reframes it through a nature-focused lens, offering a gentler and more educational alternative to the genre’s usual themes of industry, space conquest, or abstract number growth. Instead of factories or galaxies, the game centers on the gradual discovery and cataloging of wildlife, inviting players to build a collection of species from across different ecosystems. This shift in theme gives the experience a more relaxed and contemplative tone, positioning it as something closer to a digital nature journal than a traditional clicker. The gameplay follows a well-established incremental loop, beginning with active input and gradually transitioning into automated progression. Players initially interact directly to generate resources, unlocking species and upgrading their output, but over time the systems become increasingly self-sustaining. The sense of growth is steady and predictable, driven by upgrades that improve efficiency and expand access to new environments. While the mechanics themselves are standard for the genre, the pacing is handled in a way that makes progression feel smooth, rarely overwhelming the player with too many systems at once. This makes it easy to settle into a rhythm, whether playing actively or letting the game run in the background. What distinguishes the experience is how it contextualizes that progression. Each unlock is framed as the discovery of a new species, often accompanied by brief informational descriptions that reflect real-world data. This adds a layer of authenticity and purpose, turning what would otherwise be a purely numerical exercise into something that at least gestures toward learning and exploration. The inclusion of various categories—such as animals, plants, and birds—helps organize the experience and reinforces the idea of building a comprehensive collection. While the educational component is relatively light, it does give the game a sense of identity that separates it from more generic incremental titles. The presentation supports this tone effectively. The visuals are bright and approachable, depicting different habitats with a clean and readable style that emphasizes clarity over detail. While the environments aren’t deeply intricate, they succeed in conveying a sense of variety across regions. The audio design leans into calm, ambient soundscapes, creating a soothing backdrop that complements the slow pace of progression. Together, these elements make the game feel intentionally low-pressure, encouraging players to engage at their own pace rather than pushing them toward constant interaction. Additional systems, such as expeditions and reward-based mechanics, provide some variation within the core loop. These features introduce small bursts of activity and give players short-term goals to pursue alongside the broader progression. However, they don’t fundamentally change how the game is played. Like many idle titles, Wildlife Planet: The Incremental eventually settles into a pattern where advancement is driven more by waiting and incremental upgrades than by new ideas. The early sense of discovery gradually gives way to repetition, as the mechanics remain largely consistent throughout the experience. This lack of long-term evolution is one of the game’s more noticeable weaknesses. While the theme remains appealing, especially for players interested in wildlife or relaxing experiences, the gameplay itself doesn’t deepen in a meaningful way. Strategic decision-making is minimal, and once players understand the optimal upgrade paths, much of the engagement comes from routine rather than discovery. For some, this predictability is part of the appeal, but for others it can make the game feel limited over extended play sessions. Even so, the game succeeds in delivering what it sets out to do. It provides a calm, accessible incremental experience with a distinctive theme and a consistent sense of progression. It doesn’t aim to challenge or innovate in major ways, but it offers a comfortable space for players who enjoy watching systems grow over time without pressure. The educational angle, while not deeply integrated into gameplay, adds a subtle layer of interest that gives the experience a bit more substance than the average clicker. In the end, Wildlife Planet: The Incremental is best appreciated as a relaxing companion rather than a deeply engaging system. It’s a game that works in the background, offering steady rewards and a pleasant atmosphere without demanding much attention. For fans of idle games looking for something softer and more thematic, it provides a satisfying, if somewhat repetitive, experience that’s easy to return to in short bursts. Rating: 6/10
I wish there was a neutral review button but there isn't. This game is cheap and that is a huge plus. Even without a sale you could easily get your money's worth out of the game. Idk what the people complaining about the progression are on about, the game gives you the necessary tools to make good progress, you just have to spend gems in a smart way in the early game. You do hit these big walls but it's nothing new for an idle game. All in all, 6/10 game, worth 3$ if you like idlers.
This was a "meh" -experience. Graphics are nice, crisp, colorful and clean, but the game doesn't get interesting enough. Descriptions are short and uninteresting, progressing is rather boring and there aren't even any achievements to get... I wouldn't buy it if I could decide again.
