it's okay
Wild Animal Racing, developed by Paul Bird and published by Marjupi Games, is an unapologetically silly kart racer that finds its identity through a simple but amusing concept: putting some of the animal kingdom's largest and most recognizable creatures behind the wheel. From elephants and hippos to lions and zebras, the game embraces its lighthearted premise from start to finish. It does not aim to reinvent the racing genre or compete with the industry's biggest franchises. Instead, it focuses on delivering a casual experience that players of all ages can enjoy without needing to learn complicated mechanics or invest dozens of hours. The game's biggest strength is its accessibility. Races are easy to jump into, controls are responsive enough for newcomers, and the overall structure keeps things straightforward. Players can select their favorite animal and race across a variety of colorful tracks filled with turns, speed boosts, and occasional obstacles. The absurdity of watching oversized wildlife tear around circuits in miniature vehicles gives the game a personality that many low-budget racers often lack. While the animals do not differ dramatically in terms of gameplay, their unique appearances help maintain a sense of variety throughout the experience. Multiplayer support adds a welcome layer of replayability. Wild Animal Racing offers both local split-screen and online play, making it an enjoyable option for families and friends looking for an uncomplicated competitive game. The local multiplayer mode feels particularly well suited to the title, capturing the spirit of classic couch gaming where laughter and friendly rivalries matter more than technical depth. Even though the feature set is relatively modest, having multiple ways to play helps the game feel more complete than its budget presentation initially suggests. Visually, the game is modest and clearly reflects its indie origins. The environments are bright and inviting, but players should not expect cutting-edge graphics or highly detailed animations. Nevertheless, the presentation complements the whimsical nature of the game. The soundtrack and sound design maintain an upbeat atmosphere that supports the fast-paced races without becoming repetitive too quickly. Additionally, the low system requirements make it an easy title to run on older PCs, allowing it to reach a wider audience of casual players. Its shortcomings become more apparent during extended play sessions. Once the novelty of racing as a rhinoceros or giraffe begins to fade, there is little additional depth to uncover. The absence of extensive progression systems, unlockable content, or advanced racing mechanics means that seasoned fans of the genre may exhaust the available content rather quickly. However, this limitation is somewhat offset by the game's budget-friendly nature and its clear focus on short bursts of entertainment rather than long-term engagement. Ultimately, Wild Animal Racing succeeds by understanding exactly what it wants to be. It is a cheerful and accessible racing game built around an entertaining premise that never takes itself too seriously. Players seeking a deep competitive racer may find it lacking, but those looking for a family-friendly title with a sense of humor will likely appreciate its charm. It is the kind of game best enjoyed in short sessions with friends, where its playful concept can shine the brightest. Rating: 6/10
INSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE WHAT THE ♥♥♥♥ LES AMIS C'EST QUOI CE POULET PEPE CHICKEN CARREMENT LE JEU IL EST TELLEMENT BIEN C'EST UNE MASTERCLASS
