I really am enjoying this game. It’s a great challenge to change your mindset on how you play a single player RPG with NO party. YEP no party... and Party items you can use on NPC's. I had lots of fun in the 18 hours I’ve played so far. I’d recommend this game, for its old school approach to the RPG market…and its hidden mechanics, challenges. PROS The challenge in learning that cloths/ weapons can change skills. Trying different combinations of various changes of your items to unlock that hard to get chest/door open, ect The developers VERY QUICK and HELPFUL responses to any perceived issues. A decent reward for exploration.. But remember ‘THEY’ will kill you if you’re not high enough level with the right equipment. The developer has posted an EARLY GAME guide to help players understand the games process. Minor annoyances. Remembering where your quests are... (recommend a good memory or notebook, or just search everywhere again..) Repetitive...mouse/ keyboard/sounds.. when harvesting multiple ore/items/ect (Turn the volume down when you mine..ect ) and expect to see multiple instances of "XXX" text along with the click to get rid of it. On the whole A Very enjoyable game.. THANKS Developer Shane...
A+++! This one is going to be wild and this new style has uber amounts of potential imho. Buy all this dev's games, seriously, they're all great, if you like JRPGs with a twist!
This game is fun, first and foremost. The story is interesting, and there's a massive amount of sidequests that add fun tidbits to the story. It also features a system a bit different from your usual RPGM games, the stats here define which possible actions you can take, which means that in about 95% of cases you can avoid combat through a variation of persuasion, intimidation, sleight of hand, intelligence or just plain old beauty. I def recommend it.
Another hit from the guys at Wolfs Moon Studios. Everybody loves getting their Bob Goblin! Another well thought out character from the studio. It was much better than Dungeon Crawler Daniel. I would play it again and again. Also if you get to 999 waters in your inventory there may or may not be a surprise. I've said too much. Buy it!
It's a Wolfs Moon game. This one is less linear than some other Wolfs Moon games, with more crafting and talking and less combat. (Most but not all fights can be avoided, so you'll want to find and swap in XP multiplier items to minimize grinding.) But it's still a Wolfs Moon game, which means exploring a map while making numbers go up. It does what it does well; if you like this sort of thing, this is the sort of thing you'll like. I liked it.
I love this game. All games from this game producer are great, but this one is very special, different and just to my liking. There is everything: fighting, researching, fishing and crafting weapons and items, but it is a handful of characters, entertaining dialogues and choices to make that give the game a special taste. In the first playthrough I play as a nice guy, but in the next game I will choose all the "bad" choices, so I can't wait to see that outcome. I can't stop playing, so I definitely recommend it!
Another absolute banger from the Studios!! A game slightly in left field from the other RPG's but is a breath of fresh air. I really liked the dialog options that are tied to your stats (which is very reminiscent of my favourite Fallout which is obviously New Vegas). I definitely recommend this one.
Wolfs Moon knocks another one out of the park! I have been following this studio and playing their games for years and loving them and this another top-notch title from them. Constant improvement in writing and pushing the limit on game play mechanics in this one and I can't wait to see what more hi-jinks I can get in with Bob!
just started but i know this developer create great game
I've played a bunch of these games from this developer over the years, and this one is quite unique. It's mostly fetch questing things for folks, and you're rewarded with XP, gold, and items. 80% of the battles are optional, which is interesting because you don't need to fight everything but at the same time you need to be at a decent level to survive those mandatory battles. Bob the Goblin is an interesting character. He's very neutral, and you get to decide who you want to support in this game. I mean it's alright overall. I was glad to play this on the Steam Deck, so that was a nice touch. I don't know if I would play the entirely of this again, but I'm glad I got to play this. Please continue to support this developer on their upcoming projects! 🐺
