Whisperstring was a chat program developed by &&&$$$SSS66 (pronounced “And-Es-Six”) and released in the late 1980s. While it never gained the popularity of its IRC-based counterparts, it did have a small community of enthusiasts. Instead of focusing on chat rooms, it connected two random strangers who could chat one-on-one. While the mentioned enthusiasts are by now mostly non-existent, our team has decided to preserve the software and make it compatible with modern computers. Feel free to give it a try, and maybe you’ll soon join us as part of the (hopefully) growing team of Whisperstring enthusiasts! To quote the wise words of &&&$$$SSS66: “Don't forget that you'll be talking to a real person. Don't be a dick. [...] Have fun!”
You can listen to and download the soundtrack for free on bandcamp.

its a short game but its amazingly made and quite creepy. 10/10
I had a fun time playing this game. It doesn't feel like there's a lot of options of ways to phrase things ("put x in x" doesn't work, only "use x on x") and I did notice that when I typed "no" for one question, another question was answered, so some of the logic might be off a bit. Otherwise it's a nice short text adventure with a twist.

it was well made short title with a cool story.
Short text-based horror game and while I personally never felt it was scary or tense it still has a creepy atmosphere I appreciate. In Whisperstring you help a man named Adam escape from a room by simply telling him what to do, the game is mostly focused on Adam and the dialogue he writes out and less so on the actual puzzle solving. A quick, easy, and appreciated read!
such a good game , i would surely recomend it to anyone that likes a bit of horror and a interesting story. hope for more productions like this ;3.
Spooky text-based puzzle game that takes about half an hour to finished. Has some good scares, even if the plot is pretty simple.
Short, sweet, and to the point, this is a very competent text based horror game. The ending might be a little cliche, but it's so charming overall that I can't bring myself to mind. Adam does talk A LOT, but instead of finding it tedious I found it surprisingly refreshing and 'human' sounding. A lot of time dialogue in games feels very 'scripted' (and it is scripted, but it shouldn't SOUND scripted if you know what I mean), meanwhile Adam felt like a dude actually just having a little freak out and panicking. Really enjoyable! Props to the devs, I'll be following anything they release in the future :)
Typical TMT, Just Do It Adam or plz stop whining..
