WHISKEY & ZOMBIES is a comedy-adventure brawler/stealther set in a different kind of apocalypse where the only thing that kills the virus is moonshine whiskey. So to survive... just Drink, Fight, and Stay Alive.

Malo, muy malo.
It's okay, has some nice secrets and things to do, but it's just too janky (poor controls, hit detection, QoL, etc) for me to enjoy playing.
naja get so
Recommended if you get it cheap. It is a dry and basic take of the zombie survival genre where the zombies are mere distractions you should try to ignore as much as possible. For some reason the first level has the difficulty Very High. The difficulty seems to mean that the level is big and the zombies respawn fast. I do not enjoy the mandatory drinking because it becomes an annoying time-limit mechanic and forces you to restock more bottles all the time. It seems like the developer at least put a lot of stuff and effort into the game. There seems to be briefing cutscenes for every level. While not exactly the most fun game due to the mechanics such as almost worthless melee weapons and ammo starvation, it is not a bad game. I suggest you try the demo before purchasing. The game starts to chug and lag once the game summons more zombies to go after you. Killing them is almost useless because the game will simply respawn them almost instantly. So the strategy is trying to get the zombies get stuck in some useless part of the map so that less of them spawn to go after you. Besides the graveyard level, you are not incentivized to kill zombies. You will run out of booze and ammo if you do that. Instead you are supposed to b-line for the objectives and rush past and through the few zombies in your way. There are seven (7) story mode missions that you probably beat in under five (5) hours. There are also multiple survival game modes such as the one where you eliminate jack-o-lanterns and collect keys.
The game is great, but using a gamepads is inconvenient: to start a mission with an X‑Box controller, you first have to select it on the keyboard and then switch back to the gamepads.
游戏整体还不错,各个方面都打磨了一些细节。 给的甜头太少了。 没有奖励、没有爽快感,惩罚偏重,节奏也偏慢。 加油。
关注我们 甄游组 第一印象 免费游戏
Whiskey & Zombies, developed and published by Nuttery Entertainment, is a distinctive entry in the zombie survival genre that blends humor, strategy, and action in a way that feels both fresh and entertaining. Set in the sweltering swamps of Louisiana, the game throws players into the chaotic role of the McCreary family—eccentric, perpetually drunk bootleggers whose unique brand of moonshine just might be humanity’s last hope against a zombie outbreak. The premise alone sets a lighthearted yet gripping tone, as the game’s narrative cleverly weaves together Southern charm, survival instincts, and absurdity, all while navigating the relentless hordes of the undead. Gameplay in Whiskey & Zombies revolves around a compelling balance between combat and stealth, framed by a top-down perspective that offers players a tactical overview of the environment. Players control various characters from the McCreary clan, each with distinct abilities and quirks that allow for different approaches to encounters. What truly sets this game apart is its innovative “drunk system,” which requires players to carefully manage their characters’ sobriety levels. Maintaining this balance is essential—if a character becomes too sober, the virus advances dangerously; if they get too drunk, their control and reflexes deteriorate. This mechanic adds a unique strategic layer, forcing players to constantly adapt their playstyle depending on the situation, creating tension that is as much about managing internal states as it is about dodging external threats. The world-building is one of the standout aspects of Whiskey & Zombies. The Louisiana bayou setting is brought to life through rich, stylized visuals that perfectly complement the game’s irreverent tone. The environments feel alive and immersive, with detailed swamps, rickety cabins, and murky waterways that evoke a distinct sense of place. Character designs lean into exaggeration, enhancing the game’s comedic and quirky vibe without detracting from the sense of danger. The animations flow smoothly, particularly during combat sequences, which range from frantic brawls to tense, calculated kills. Lighting and weather effects further enhance the atmosphere, especially during nighttime sections where shadows and limited visibility heighten the suspense. Audio design plays a crucial role in deepening the immersive experience. The soundtrack, a blend of southern rock and blues, not only sets the mood but also reinforces the cultural backdrop of the game’s setting. Ambient sounds such as the distant growls of zombies, the rustling of swamp foliage, and the clinking of bottles punctuate gameplay moments, adding layers of authenticity and tension. While voice acting is sparse, the characters’ dialogue and grunts carry personality and humor, helping players feel connected to the quirky McCreary family and their desperate mission. In addition to the single-player campaign, Whiskey & Zombies offers a local multiplayer mode, allowing friends to team up and tackle the game’s challenges cooperatively. This feature significantly boosts the game’s replay value, as the chaotic and strategic elements become even more engaging when coordinated with others. However, the absence of online multiplayer might disappoint players looking for a broader multiplayer experience beyond couch co-op. Still, the cooperative gameplay is well-executed and provides plenty of fun for those who enjoy playing alongside friends. While Whiskey & Zombies shines in many areas, it isn’t without some minor drawbacks. The difficulty curve can sometimes feel steep, especially as enemy numbers increase and resource management becomes more critical. Some players might find the balancing act of the drunk system challenging at first, requiring patience to master the mechanics. Additionally, the top-down camera, while generally effective, occasionally makes it tricky to navigate tight spaces or pinpoint threats, which can lead to frustrating moments in the heat of combat. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience remains enjoyable and rewarding. Ultimately, Whiskey & Zombies stands out as a refreshing and inventive take on zombie survival games. Its blend of humor, strategic depth, and atmospheric world-building creates an experience that is both entertaining and uniquely memorable. By injecting personality and innovation into a well-worn genre, Nuttery Entertainment has crafted a game that appeals to fans seeking something different—one that combines action and stealth with an offbeat narrative and inventive mechanics. For players who appreciate a mix of laughter, challenge, and Southern Gothic flair amidst the undead apocalypse, Whiskey & Zombies delivers a satisfying and thoroughly enjoyable adventure.
