A room. A lab. A simple test. Nothing unusual. Nothing lurks. If you stay in the room too long, you may experience periodic instability. This is normal. Nothing to worry about.

While I Sleep I Am Debug follows the story of a developer as you awake and eventually go to sleep, everyday. As time goes by, your blank room begins to rearrange itself and secret doors open up. Your dreams become wilder, and may even crash (while you sleep, you debug). As a result it's often difficult to tell what is real and what is not. Playing Debug feels like somewhat of a lucid dream. Aesthetically, it's a refreshing change from indie releases, which more often than not rely on already-established retro styles. Debug in this sense feels original, and its audio and visuals thus lend to the emotion of the story. The gameplay is simple but rewards creativity. Typically you are discovering invisible paths, secret levers and the like. Once in a while, the game is punctuated with segments of intense glitch, giving me a good jump scare and laugh. These parts of the game are by far my favourite. Part puzzle platformer, part biographical mystery, if you enjoy puzzle games like Stanley Parable or The Witness, you'll love While I Sleep I Am Debug. Keep an eye on this developer!
FULL DISCLOSURE: I received a Steam code for this product. This is not a walking simulator. You are the subject of an experiment, but it is not another white box facility game. There is far more here than immediately meets the eye. You will think. You will be surprised. You will reflect. You will experiment, learn, and run for your life. The soundtrack is good enough to listen to on its own. If you like video games and have a brain, you will like this. This is a good game, and you should play this good game.

I found While I Sleep I Am Debug to be a trippy and surprising journey punctuated by heart-stopping moments of glitch horror. ;)
Just played through a good portion of the game and I'm loving it! Be patient for the first 10 minutes of gameplay because it will pay off the more you play. It has amazing build up and execution! Not to mention I love the art direction and sound design. "While I Sleep I am Debug" keeps the gamer engaged and wanting to know more and more with every passing moment. It's a super curious game to say the least and worth some legit scares! I strongly recommend it for people that are looking for a meditative, imaginative wild ride
Wow that was interesting.. I really don't want to saying anything in the review in case it spoils the experience for you, other thank TRY IT NOW! Weird and rewarding, best experinced on an empty mind.
WISIAD is a great surreal, glitch-horror experience. The puzzles were abstract and challenging enough to feel rewarding without being frustratingly complicated. The atmosphere and setting are one of the most unique I've been in. The music and sound helps a lot with that, giving a tone of an abandoned, sanitized but "Stranger Things" feeling of unease with undercurrents of fear throughout your playthrough. It's an impressive piece that exlemplifies how to do minimalism well in a video game.
Funky Audio which builds an Intriguing Atmosphere, that is overlaid by the, sometimes challenging, yet Interesting Art styles, Puzzles that offer something New plus a simple Satisfaction, and a Strange Story with discovery and much Meta Do I see some Alternative Routes to take? Nah Maybe… Hmm, might have to go back and try, definitely, if you are looking for different, worth a Buy
