Found this wonderful game thanks to the dev's video on Youtube titled "I Released a Game on Steam I What I've Learned" on his channel "Klexber Games". I really enjoyed playing this game. It's very simple and easy to understand. The artstyle used for the lore introduction reminded me of "Kung Fu Panda", which fits the vibes somehow. The first view on the world made me go "wow". It's very hard to describe, because it merges a few aesthetics seen in other, older games, while being fresh and quite new as well. The intro voice over was really good; the sound effects are lovely. The lore accessibility around the map is creative. The character designs are interesting. The story-intro felt purpose-giving. The world is huge - something you don't see at first, because a lot is hidden deep down, or up... or covered in fog. To me, entering this game felt like revisiting a childhood game I never played. There is clearly lots of love put into it. There is no "locked fullscreen", which means that - when you have the option to open another program/app by dragging the mouse to one of the corners - you may get a game over midfight. I would like to request a key-rebinding system for at least the control key - I am really not a fan of the control key (and the other 2) being used for special attacks (or anything else) - I am not sure if this is a keyboard-set-up difference - I am playing on a Mac at the moment, and it feels super awkward using any of these 3 keys mid-fight. Regarding Mac: I stopped playing every 15 minutes or so, because my M1 chip Mac's fans started running - I am hoping there will be some optimization coming one day. I understand if this is difficult to make when being solo. I managed to reach 100 percent in it despite this; and I enjoyed the game nearly every minute. I am highly impressed by your work, solo-dev!

For a short passion project it is quite charming and endearing - a fun adventure that sends you for a ride throughout a rather uniquely grim world with snappy controls and twitchy combat. There's a few odd bug here and there, with some dodgy collision, but the bones of the game themselves have potential.
Good.
Enjoyable experience.
If the developer reads this, there's some jankyness when traversing slopes, especially with the slower characters, wich can make it frustating to navigate some areas. The sound from the enemies should be a tad higher and the bigger enemies need more sounds and they should sound more menacing. Also, a text box explaining how to engage the spider monsters would help to make the experience of figthing them less confusing and unjust.
Wheelborn is a charming solo dev project — and it's completely free. It has a distinctive art style, runs well, and just rolling around as the little car-folk feels smooth and satisfying. Exploring the world is genuinely fun: it's compact, but filled with secrets, some of which are pretty original and significant. There's just enough weird little lore fragments scattered around to keep you curious without drowning you in walls of text. Also, getting all the achievements doesn't require dedicating your life to it, which is nice. If you like vibey exploration games, or just want something chill that clearly had a lot of love put into it, definitely give Wheelborn a spin.
This is a cute and fun little adventure with a cool little world. Its a fun game that doesn't ask much of the player. This is great if you're short on time. I will say there are some major design and balance issues. Like the size of the map and the awkward small space is at odds with the movement mechanics. Stamina bar with linear recharge made me hurt inside. Combat is either cheesing with no challenge or an occasional One Shot death out of nowhere. And there is not much to indicate which kind of fight you are going into before hand. Whilst the environment is cool, the lighting is lacklustre and a lot of the map feels dreary in unintriguing way. Also why is the bar where i can drink interesting health potions, not actually let me drink health potions whilst i have full health - there is nowhere nearby to lose some health, making the entire thing effectively unusable if I happen upon it with a full health bar. Despite these flaws, I really enjoyed playing this. Great vision, but I fear it may have been an over ambitious one for a solodev - still commendable for its completion.
This is literally dark souls but your a car lmao amazing game
